I used to make those bottle traps all the time as a kid. If you poke a hole in the funnel part and the bottle part you can tie your anchoring string through it. It will hold the funnel in place and act as a hinge. It will hold a lot better than tape.

Use the store trap. Build a floating dock with 55 gallon plastic barrels, attached to the bank, on the brew bakery. Then you can feed the crawfish to the fish from it. Plus it will help the bass grow bigger.

Put some rocks in the 2ltr and pop small holes in the bottom with a drill(small enough bit to where they can't swim out) that way the bottle won't float and you can spread that scent more. Also you can make it a crawfish trap by chopping the neck off more. Tye the string near the front so you can pick it up out the water quickly and trap them in. Very good vid

for the 2 liter trap you need to punch holes in the bottom as well as around the edge where the top goes back in then zip tie the top on the holes on the bottom of the bottle are to help it sink and have water flow through it

Flair, join the 'Private Fishing Pond and Lake Management Group' group on Facebook. It is so good with learning to deal with crap like these weeds and stuff. You probably need an aerator or two also. They can also help you out with which aerator as well as a treatment program for those weeds. If you can get Tilapia in your state, they will help out a TON, but will die at the winter time, but they are good to eat if you can get them out before they die. Then just buy more in the spring.

Gread video.. I do the homemade version with a twist. Cut bottom out of one bottle and top off second. Attract the top to bottom either staple or sew. Remove cap from bottom and put cap on top. When you have fish you remove cap and pour into bucket... like a charm
