Mum's ancestors from Ireland, Dad is from Poland I live in Australia, but I love listening to Irish rebel music most.

I live in Australia too, and that's ALL I listen to. Not even Irish, but you don't need to be. Only have to understand Ireland's tragic past and you'll soon be a supporter.🇦🇺🇮🇪❤️

I'm an American Irish and Pollock descendant... I also love Irish rebel songs. Poland also has an interesting history of struggling to survive... it's worth looking into. Dia duit. Do widzenia.

@@Fred-by3qz How your country has been treated by mine is tragic, unfortunately we are kept in ignorance and not taught much about it, certainly not when I was at school. Most decent people feel ashamed of the past. I hope Ireland reunifies too if that's what they want but I'm not naive and know it won't be a simple process due to the fragile peace in Northern Ireland. It is morally right to return Ireland to the Irish.

@@Rebmulrooneyward OK young miss, I need to just inform you of a mistake you made, Now In Ireland, we have, Ulster Munster Connaught. Leinster. Now Ireland has struggled with oppression but after time this was removed. We have our own language. Do not be ashamed of the past, That is not the way forward. Be aware of history, and understand why things happen, The bit you call Northern Ireland is known as the six counties, Not Ulster as you may hear it called for Ulster has nine counties within it. Now due to a split it is the Catholics and republicans that will use the term the six counties, The Orange Order and loyalists will say Ulster and NI. These people were brought in during the plantation. So the people rose up and fought for justice and independence. I hope I have explained this for you, and your family name looks Irish. @@DeaghlanFinn-Kelly Thanks for the info, I did know some of it already. Can I ask what mistake I made? Was it referring the six counties as Northern Ireland? Sorry if I offended you. Yes Mulrooney is an Irish name (well an anglicised one), but my ancestors moved to England a long long time ago in the 1800s! I'm a bit of a geek and have spent hours on my family tree lol.
