The single thing we should be doing with our lives is to simply enjoy it. It is as basic as this. The kind of world we now live in hasn't changed much in a few thousand years. All the angst, stress, ups, downs and all the emotional strife that exist now in 2024 existed 2000 years ago.. its amazing that Epictetus and Co were acutely aware of this and were obliged to raise awareness of it and to develop techniques that might help people to navigate those issues, and to provide the knowledge for free.. The highest respect to the. them.

"Do every act of your life as if it were your last." This is so true, we all have to learn to live your lives to the fullest like this is our last hour here, as it may be. We never know how long our lives are set to be, so we all have to learn how to enjoy every second of it and not wasting it in bad energies and emotions. Saying this from my personal experience, lost my fiance last year and that devastated me entirely, now I'm learning again how to be happy despite what happened and how to enjoy life again.
