1 Hour of Wood Carving ASMR - No talking - Sounds of Wood

in this video I'm carving a wooden fish (trout) using my marrtiini knife and a cheap carpet/removable blade knife for fine detail work. There are satisfying sounds of rough carving, finer carving, sandpaper and fine detail work. Total worktime on this project was 4-5 hours

I used my Marttiini knife today to remove some old, old, old crusty paint off of some door frames... Made me think of this video. My poor knife wishes it woulda ended up like yours but no such luck :') It's a great and durable working tool though, gotta hand it to them.

How often do you have to replace or sharpen the knifes

I replace the carpet knife blades all the time but I'm really bad at sharpening knives to a consistent edge so I usually pay a shop to sharpen my knives. When I'm good enough at it I'l start sharpening my own

Microphone needs to be a little closer to the work [not too bad] The sound of the gloves just clashes poorly with the carving sound, though I guess for some people, it hits that "trigger" even if it clashes with the atmosphere of woodworking. Otherwise, quite pleasant to listen to, and the length is solid 👍

Thanks 😊 Theres no reason to use gloves other than that I was covering my hands because I had frost damage on them. But I will use a glove or tape to cover my left thumb because i push the knife with that thumb and after awhile it starts to hurt if I dont have any padding for protection
