When Ara said "what's the point of dating if you're going to end up breaking up" and I was like Yup! Then the other lead (didn't catch her name in th film) said "what's the point of living if there a 100% chance of dying, you can't just give up because anything is possible" Ooof it's time to cry now lol 😢

I never understood the whole, "oh, but you're just going to break up anyways" like, obviously you shouldn't date if your intention is to break up, but most people date because they want to build a future with someone, and they think they might be that someone. The dating is just seeing if they are that person.

The Korean "feminine" male look was a design by America's most powerful person in cloaked power, believe it or not to send to Asia. To blend the male and female alike to create more lesbian culture. Of course this was expected. It was right. The culture spread to south east Asia and increased LGBT communities. Not saying its a bad thing, just saying that It was a ploy, and a ploy you can expect from the men's fashion alone.

Oh my goodness. That was beautiful. This is what I’ve been looking for. Lesbian leads with no stereotype, and just focus on what’s “normal” like love. No “am I gay for liking her?” Or “but you’re a girl I can’t like you”. It’s just NORMAL ‘I’m in love with you’. This is what I’ve always been looking for and I’m so happy that I found this and that you guys have made it. Thank you very much and I will be watching the rest ❤️

My absolute favorite thing about this short film, is the fact that the relationship were portrayed like any other relationships. I feel so happy and satisfied about that because I am absolutely done with the media portraying queer (especially lesbian) relationships as something odd, something to be fetishized, something that heterosexual people won't understand. But it is actually something they can understand. Simply because, lgbtq+ people just want to love and be loved too. That's it. That's all there is to it. They too want to fall in love, experience cheesy romance, have someone to rely on, someone to love unconditionally, all the things heterosexual people do too. So, PD-nim, thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for filming these stories and portraying these relationships in such a simple and beautiful manner. I hope one day I can tell my stories this way too. From a chaotic bisexual: me. Ahahaha.

i rly like the location for the monologues -- it feels like a closed world. the rounded architecture + warm wood just makes everything feels more intimate. the leads are both cute in their own way and i love how vivid their personalities are. Ara reminds me of myself: despite her outer aloofness she's actually more anxious than the other lead. when she talked about the book i just smiled and thought "if you really didn't care you wouldn't have known this; you've clearly considered this a lot." also, i laughed out loud when the other lead slapped her. i rly didnt expect that. i was waiting for the "lgbtq is forbidden" conflict to drop the whole time and it still feels a bit unreal that it never did. this normalisation is a dream come true tbh thanks and good job pd, this was great.

Ara's admirer approached her with gifts (card and food) at the beginning. Ara was assessing her feelings when the admirer ran away. 1:35 Ara has made her mind that she likes the other girl back when she bought her the juice (gift) and said "follow me." At 2:16 Ara 'ate' the food (gift) the other girl tried to give as a token of her affection which confirms that Ara is accepting and reciprocating the affection to the girl. Still the girl is not sure if Ara likes her but she should have read between the lines and Ara's actions - buying juice for her and eating her food. Ara is more reserved and probably because she has been hurt before. She did mention "breaking up is tiresome" which meant someone broke her heart and she is being more cautious. But you can tell by her face expression she has already made up her mind to give her admirer a chance when she let her sit close and didn't pull away from the kiss or make any bad remarks after the kiss. It is all about body language and 'listening' to the unspoken words between each glance/look. Can't wait for part 2!

Thank you for making this PD. I love how, you said it yourself, "queerness is important but what is more important is the CHARACTER". You made this story, a genuine story about true love. Not about "lesbian love", not just for oversexualizing homosexuality. I totally believe in you making a great film about love, soulmates who well, happens to be two women. I'm getting sick of films where characters are mostly defined by their sexuality and I respect you a lot for making this. Wish you a lot of success in the future PD 😊 (Sorry for any grammar mistakes 😅)

The fact of introducing the concept of soulmate, completely changed my mind about this short film. I thought it was going to be a really romantic shit that I don't understand, but actually soulmates can be just really close friends and not considered as someone you have to be in a relationship with. As an ace/aro it's really hard for me to understand and like most of romantic movies and series, but as far as this one is going I'm really loving it. I'm trying to help him out the best way i can. I also had one topic suggestion: Maybe an lgbt film covering the bear community, as it's very often ignored by the mainstream. Or just a gay couple who don't represent the majority etc. I don't know if that was worded well/clearly, english isn't my first language. Sorry. Love your content man!! : )

This is just simply good! The script is so sore and realistic. The acting is really great too. It also shows that being a female and liking the same gender has anything to do with sex only, as many people fantasize, but that there are true emotions involved. I think it is really important to show that side too and especially to the Korean judgemental society. For myself, I don't care about gender when it comes to liking someone and it makes my heart ache every single time I meet someone from the LGBTQ community here in South Korea who has to hide their true side to the people around them. Not only does this short film focus on the lesbian community but it also brings up the topic of being too scared to get involved with someone because of the fear of being hurt. I know many people, including myself, who feels the same way and it truly does stop one from living life to the fullest.

Selina would technically be so bad? There are too many of us. With no true natural predators, highly adaptable, and of superior intellect, we are an awful invasive pest to earth. It’s a complicated subject, but if a portion of the population doesn’t actively wish to have children one day we as a race may have to delegate to people whether they can have kids and how many. (That already exists in some countries. That’s a terrifying possibility. But we’re vastly overpopulated.) It’s not so wrong for some people to live life feeling and thinking this way.

Brittany Jean I didn’t say everyone shouldn’t think like this, in fact, I don’t care if people agreed to not date. it’s just part of life, meeting and loving people. as species who can feel emotions to this extent, it’s hard to avoid ‘dating’. we can’t really stop populating earth, humans come and go

Love how toned down (in a good way) the movie was ! It represented the leads as individuals trying to figure out their life and facing the hardships , not as representatives of the one specific community ! It really portrayed the feeling , emotions, insecurities that come along with one's sentimental life regardless of the preference! ⭐ That's a great job PD! Looking forward to more of this .

Oh my god this was so beautifully made i think i cried a bit, not at the story (though it is very tear worthy) but at the production, the scenery, the editing. The scene where she's waiting outside of the CU was so beautiful, I could stare at that still for hours. The colors, the transitions, were so mesmerizing I think that even if the story sucked, I would've loved it production wise - but the story, the acting, the relationship and what we've seen so far is so moving, so beautiful, i just can't find the right words. I love this so so much and I can't wait for part II.

You, my good citizen, is a fantastic storyteller. You and your camera can make magic. Like I said, I don't know anything about film making, so I don't know what _exactly_ it is that reminds me of Life Is Strange, but all I can say is that I'm loving every second of it. I watched this already when it was first released and yet, here I am again. There's just some things that are so good, you can't help yourself but go back and re-experience. And this short film is one of them. It is so rare to be able to watch a "controversial" relationship and just outright enjoy it without that nagging sense of doing it to be progressive. This is just a film of two humans falling in love and the hardships that comes with forming relationships. That's it. In retrospect, it's simple but in reality, it is so much more complicated to actually encapsulate that emotion. That moment of, "I've fallen for you so I'm going to take my chance."

Okay, I totally missed this. I confess I don’t twitter actively like I should, and I don’t check notifications from it often. (Unless it’s just blowing up my phone) So, I want to extend a heartfelt apology. I would’ve really loved to offer support during the start of this journey for you. But alas that cannot be remedied. But what I can do is support you from here on. I came across this by chance. I accidentally hit a KZbin notification and placed my thumb on the reader in my phone to log in via fingerprint. I immediately saw the video title, 1 in 10,000. You immediately caught my curiosity. I continued reading the title and sufficiently intrigued I clicked play. I was immediately swept into the video. I watched from beginning to end with full attention. When you signaled Act I ended I was already thinking I can’t wait to see Act II. The progression, continued character and relationship development between the two. The spoilers (?) at the end have piqued my full interest. (It looks like a fight, maybe. Or is it a breakup scene?) I can’t wait to watch Act II. Thank you PD. I’ve watched about every lesbian film produced here in the states and additional LGBTQ+ films. (Many seem to stereotype unfortunately, over excessive focus on the lesbian relationship in exclusively sexual nature.) So, this is quite a fresh of breath air to me. It’s hard to identify and understand yourself and your feelings as a young LGBTQ+ individual. Society demonstrated and showed me liking and having attraction to the opposite sex was normal. I was vastly underprepared the first time I experienced attraction to a female, and felt blindsided. My first concern was how do I tell her? What if she doesn’t return my feelings? I was fortunate, she had similar feelings. We talked about those, and were closer than friends. But we never kissed or did anything of a sexual nature. Back story for interested parties, her bf dumped her and I was being the classic good friend supporting her in her misery and commiserating , the shoulder of tears to cry on and make her laugh. Until something changed. I didn’t say anything at the time, I was too floored. When I went home and left her house that might, I stayed up thinking about it all night and ultimately decided to just come out with it and tell her. We had always been close, and our friendship started over bonding over a breakup we both experienced the same day. She responded, expressed she felt the change and felt the same way. We were at loss. I continued to be her friend and continue on as normal. We didn’t discuss dating or anything. I often found myself falling into my feelings and pulling back from moments. ☺️It was blaring obvious to her mum and god bless that woman. She’s just as fine and I’ll love you regardless about it as my mum. But her bf did beg her back and she did take him back. And he wasn’t comfortable with our situation, so he gave her an ultimatum and we stopped talking and hanging out, he made her unfriend me on social media and we would only see each other at school. Eventually I let her go, and let life do it’s thing. I dated other women and boys. I moved miles away. She would reconnect with me periodically, but as their relationship was on/off she would come and go. We are still friends today. But we aren’t close like we once were. She has kids, too. We haven’t talked about it in years now. I’m fortunate our society is quite tolerant of LGBTQ+ individuals I was living in an arguably unsupportive LGBTQ+ state. And I’m fortunate to have a supportive family and friends. It didn’t change anything for them or their opinion of me. It was just a fact of my life they openly accepted. (Or at least looked and seemed to. It was high school after all.) So, it is nice to see a film going in a natural progression. (Life after all is not quite like Hollywood movies and their portrayals relationships, LGBTQ+ ones in particular.)

this is so cute and I love how it’s not stereotypical. the one who’s receiving the confession isn’t being like ,”ew, is she lesbian? she has feelings for me?” It’s portrayed in a “normal” manner. Just like a heterosexual relationship.

"whats the point if you can only find your soulmate 1 in 10,000 lifetimes?" "There's a 100% chance that we die, but that doesn't mean we just give up and die." *_THIS._* If you live your life only by numbers and statistics, you'll never find happiness in your life. numbers dont control you, if you let them, the only person you're hurting is yourself. So what if you don't find your "soulmate"? just find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. you dont need to be this perfect couple, just be happy enough with each other that you are satisfied

I like this! But it felt like individual shots were really nice but the cohesiveness between each shot was very abrupt, not as smooth as it can be. Consider using sound to ease the abrupt vibe of visual transitions between shots. Story line is great thus far, and the music is quality! Temper with volumes a little to achieve balance between dialogue, BG scene sounds, and the BG music. Looking forward to more work!

I especially like that it is between girls, personally I am pan but I feel like men are what most of the LGBTQ+ content is about. So you'll only have one chance to meet your soulmate once every 10,000 lifetimes? I don't exactly believe in soulmates, but I believe everyone has someone who is right for them, despite differences and obstacles, so, if this is considered "soulmates", and if I have to wait 10,000 lifetimes to spend it with this special person, I will take that chance. An amazing piece of art btw, it's pure, and it's relatable too. Thank you for taking the time and effort to shoot this. :)
