Here in Belgium it is very common for families to have one. Especially with those gas prices I am even considering to buy one so we could take a dog with us when we go by bike with the family.

Bei 0:38 ... Mama mit Kleinkind vor der Brust auf dem Fahrrad ... ist mir sofort aufgefallen. Helm oder Schutzmaßnahmen für das Kleinstkind sind hier wohl außer Acht gelassen worden.

Wir sind hier in den Niederlanden, hier dreht sich alles um den Radverkehr. Sicherheit steht an erster Stelle.

@@lowiebovens. Finde ich gut in den Niederlanden. Ich bin möglicherweise hier nicht objektiv, da ich einer Mutter und ihrer zweijährige Tochter nach einem Sturz ohne Fremdbeteiligung Erste Hilfe geleistet habe. Beide haben erheblichste Kopfverletzungen davongetragen. Deshalb fände ich z.B. eine Baby-Schale mit gedämpfter Aufnahme in einem Zweispur-Kinderanhänger wesentlich sicherer, als ein Babytuch vpr der Brust. Und tatsächlich finde ich einen Fahrradhelm ziemlich gut, da solch gravierenden Kopfverletzungen durch solch eine "Plastik-Styropor-Salatschüssel" so abgemindert werden, dass nach einem Sturz zwar der Helm ersetzt werden muss, das ein oder andere Hämatom oder eine Gehirnerschütterung die Folgen sind, aber eben keine lebensgefährlichen Verletzungen. Insofern möchte ich widersprechen dürfen: Bei Sicherheit an erster Stelle wäre das junge Kind nicht im Tragetuch vor der Brust.
