First of all thank you so much for taking the time to do these. Second, I’ve been dealing with a lot lately and today I was feeling overwhelmed and started crying and asking God to please speak to me. I’ve been feeling purposeless as of recently but at the same time I didn’t want to ignore all the good God has been doing for me in this present moment even though I feel this way. So I started praying and listening to gospel and I opened my Bible app and closed my eyes and said “Lord, what do you need me to hear? What do you need me to read?” And my finger fell onto King 1. Upon reading it I was a bit confused but I read through it. I said God wants me to read this for a reason. After reading it, I came to KZbin to see if someone can explain what God is trying to get through to us in this chapter. Then I came across this video. When I got to the application part I almost cried because I use to be a caregiver and I really loved it. I always tell people how much I adore old people and how much I love taking care of them. You’re absolutely right. It’s hard work and it’s not always the prettiest but to see them smile and to know that I had something to do with keeping them safe meant the world to me. So much that my dream one day is to open up a retirement home/village in my home country of Belize. It’s like God needed to remind me of not only my gift of taking care of people but also remind me that I have this goal that He put in my heart and to keep the faith that He will make it happen when the time is right. I really needed this reminder because things haven’t been the best financially but by the grace of God I’m still here and with God’s love and mercy, I’m finding way to make things work. Thank you again for this. Like I said, I really needed this. God bless you 🤍

I don’t think anyone has done every chapter. I’ve been looking for this for a while. Makes understanding the Old Testament so much easier. Thank you!

Amen! Taking care of the elderly is hard work. When I was in high school, my dad and uncle would put together a singing group for the holidays and we'd go to senior homes. After singing we'd give them small gifts to open and hang out and chat. One elderly woman, she had the softest hands ever, and I don't know how we got on the topic, but she didn't believe we landed on the moon. I was in high school and I had been taught we had. Well, life sure does throw a lot of curve balls and I'm still questioning. But spending time with the elderly is rewarding.

I work in the medical field myself and can honestly say that the nursing aides definitely are heroes for taking care of the elderly as besides the physical work, they get the brunt of the mental stuff as well. I don't want to knock myself and say I don't do my part, but my hat really goes off to them. On a side note, I was getting Absolam vibes when I read that Adonijah was trying to take the throne for himself. Kind of wondering if he will actually stay at peace with Soloman as I dive into the story of 1 Kings for my first time

As someone who has no idea where to start or anything about this. I’d love if you could organize your page so I can find stuff easier. Like group it into playlists by books / topics. Would make it so much easier to navigate!
