What really touched me in this chapter was God's forgiveness or empathy towards Ahab after his repentance, this shows how forgiving our father God is, even after king Ahab was bad and bought sin to Israel , god spared him after he repented, God is a loving father, and he see's us clearly so no matter how BIG our sin is, if we repent whole heartedly GOD will forgive us. No one is as great and loving as our Heavenly Father God! AMEN!

When the LORD was pleased with Ahab humbling himself before Him, although he never apologized to the Naboth ( for obvious reasons, of course- he was dead) it made me realize that I don’t need to be expecting an apology from someone after they’ve wronged me. Maybe they’ve repented and humbled to the LORD and I need to be okay with that by forgiving them ( although I strongly believe the LORD would lead you to make things right with the human you’ve offended also, not just with Him). Humility is key, then forgiveness can take place. However, like it is with the LORD, I believe fellowship between the offender and the offended will be broken until the offender humbles down and asks for forgiveness from the offended. Otherwise, it’s like there’s a huge elephant standing in the middle of the hallway, and you’re not acknowledging that it’s there. The LORD is so merciful! It’s important to note that this didn’t catch Him by surprise either. He knows the beginning from the end, yet he had so much mercy on him.
