In the 90s and 2000s they (and Gilman and good counsel ) would continuously pillage the top players from across maryland to basically create an all star team of Maryland kids. Gonzaga, GC and St. John’s then started doing the same thing and caught up to them. All of that came to an end when Gilman pissed off there coach who wanted to keep pace but admin wouldn’t let him so he left, personally financed (he is a millionaire) and made St Frances into a super powerhouse by not only taking all of Maryland’s best players but also northern Virginia

Winning the WCAC literally is like a division title it’s a 6 team league of which the same 4 make the 2 round “playoff” every year. How about they invite St Frances and see how well they do

Everyone assumed St. Eds was #1 so when Massillon beat them for a 3rd straight year, the polls gave Massillon the nod. They lost this game to DeMatha in a convincing way and then the polls dropped them to #9.
