Super bad ass. For most areas, 1 mile is really all you can fly before getting into houses, no fly zones and other things. 1 mile range is a sweet distance. Excellent job guys.

Great Video Guy's. Real excitement. I got the same feeling from your video that I had when I flew my H that distance. I started small; quarter of a mile first, then half a mile and then the mile. But first I did a static range check with my mate from West Wales Models across a valley (no obstructions) and got 1.64 miles before the video signal started to break up. Love all your videos. Best Regards Dave Morgan.

Pretty cool. TBS Crossfire is a great system! He needs to turn his antenna on his transmitter though. It should be horizontal. Having it vertical like that, with the one on the quad Horizontal effectively cuts your signal by several db.

Nice flight ....well done....think safety first... you had enough spotters to see what was in the air in the quads vicinity, even if you couldn't see the quad.. longer flights are going to get more risky.. binoculars would help at distance... and spotters are a must just in case other air traffic turns up... planned routes would be an idea to avoid flying over houses and to give accurate distances flown

Great video! Since 'Long Range' is an arbitrary term, based on a particular craft exceeding its normal capabilities, your use of the term is appropriate... I don't see the validity in the arguments below; Your flight was certainly within the new limits provided by the Crossfire! I would have liked to see what the new boundary was, but a more controlled environment was needed... I was holding my breath when Mr. Bone swooped low over the trees on the return... So glad to watch your successful flight in this video! Thanks!!

you need to tune your quad tj. if thats what you do..you got to tune it... also its funny to see so much "long range" stuff suddenly being all the rage. Long range fpv flight is awesome with planes. Quads burn through their battery way too quickly. Try making frames fluorescent orange or yellow to improve visibility at long distances and for search & rescue in the woods, a beeper is sometimes not enough.

I normally just hit the like button, but this video deserves a comment. That was freakin awesome, I’m new to the hobby and have a 5in Alien build. I love it but am sometimes left wanting to explore more and this setup looks like the way to go. Question though, what crossfire settings was that on? Micro can’t do that I’d imagine, and the full version has the 3 output settings right? Was that maxed out at the 2000mw output with external battery?
