1 Month BraidLoc'd|Update|Starter Locs|MicroLocs

Hey Hey,
I finally made 4 weeks with my braidlocs🥳
Y'all, I am so excited to share my experience thus far with you. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below and also let me know what you have been experiencing in your loc journey. If you happen to have any tips or tricks that you feel may help me on this journey, don't keep them to yourselves, let me know.
I'm thinking of doing a wash video and/or a count video as well. If you'd like to see either of those videos or something else with my baby Locs, let a sistah know.

Your hair is pretty! I've subscribed for your journey as I am 2 week locd..... I did the grab and go method on my own, as my hair is fine and low density. I'll be following for tips! Enjoy your journey sis and check your water intake... as that would affect the dryness of your hair. Yes you can do a wash day vid!

Your hair is beautiful I am going into my 4th month just dot my retwist. Around my edges is very soft so I just braid it back I am enjoying 😉 my journey. Yes I do have dry scalp I try not to use moisture but I do a little oil and water and it helps. . Thank you.

Love the video. I’m deciding btwn 2 strand and braid locs. I’m wondering if there will be a different looks with the mature loc?

From what I’ve learned, the two strand twist will mature thicker than braid locs. For those who don’t have a lot of volume, two strand twists would be great to give them that added volume. Braid locs are great for those with more dense hair. Hope this helps and well wishes on you establishment. I’m excited for you🤗

Anyone have an recommendations for protein treatment sprays or shampoos for micro locs?

I have no idea about this right here as I have only been using a clarifying shampoo on my hair. It’s by Kenra and it seems to be working well.

@@blackertheberry00 you can take the loose frizzy hairs and wrap them around the loc. then rub them together between two fingers. I learned that tip from napsarethenewblack

@@afrikurl ok, ok. Now I do take the frizzy hairs and wrap them around the loc but I don’t rub them in between my fingers. I will definitely be trying that in the future (probably today, 😆) Ty for the tip ladybug 🙏🏾

I’m at 415. I started off with about 410 or 411 but as my edges continued to grow, I had to install a few more.
