I find that casting mine and my daughter's wash and goes with a firm hair gel keeps me from touching it daily, it can last a whole week, which helps wirh hair retention and looks just fine until wash day. I am a new sub, Love your hair and videos sis.

About the industry bar, u need to first disinfect it, then on a regular basis oil or moisture it and turn it around in the piercing daily. It will help heal faster. I got some couple of piercings on my ears and its pretty good. Nice volume by the way.

I have an industrial and it has healed in less than a year. I suggest you use tea tree ointment (not the oil) and just try your best to sleep on the opposite side!
@okiahdior2 жыл бұрын
Ok thank you I will try the ointment but I think my problem is actually the jewelry so I’m going to change it along with trying the ointment

Put it on two times a day (morning and night) and clean it regularly when it’s time to put more on, if that makes sense.

@@okiahdior I’ll keep growing it out but mannn, I just finished my wash day and was honestly contemplating cutting it 😭 I think I’m gonna have to start sectioning off my hair in 4s because it’s getting harder to detangle…

I got my first trim on my one year hair growth and all the stylist said I needed was a shape bc it wasn’t shaped when I started other than that I had no split ends etc so I can’t wait to get a trim in the next year

I just went natural in October of last year and watching your videos is encouraging. Hopefully, I can reach a little longer than my shoulder blades this year. But besides that, I need a trim badly any tips?
@okiahdior2 жыл бұрын
I would stay trim it while it’s stretched like blown out or something so that you can actually see what needs too be trim so you don’t trim to much or to little and thank you for watching I’m glad my videos are encouraging for you you can definitely get past your shoulder blades just be patient and take care of your hair think of it like a plant you water it and take care of it, it will grow

girl I love your hair! It looks just like mine in texture and length I'm so glad to finally find my hair twin 😊 the minibraids is definitely a look I want to try as a protective style but I'm kinda scared about it matting the longer I leave it in...any tips on upkeeping it and prolonging the matting? And about your industrial, we in the same boat. This December coming would be 2 years since I got mine done and the bottom hole still hasn't healed. I've tried everything from sea salt to tea tree oil to topical and oral antibiotics, the latter two helped heal the top hole so I recommend trying them.I'd hate to develop something like sepsis so I'm retiring the piercing and putting a hoop in the top hole. Please do keep us updated on your decision, I'm a new subbie 💯
@okiahdior2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I didn’t experience any matting with my braids maybe because I only kept them for 5 weeks but you could use some good moisturizer when braiding them and keep them for like a month and yea I’m gonna give the industrial like 2 more weeks to act right everytime I come close to talking it out I’m like no it’s so cute I feel basic without it so I might end up getting the hook and I’ll try the thing you recommend

For the industrial, try getting the bar changed into 2 separate hoop piercing by a piercer , clean with antibacterial soap and Neals salt solution and then dry, I had the same issue and it’s been working for me!🤍
