@@stg4478 Yes, anyone who's ever used a bump stock, or bump fired without one, knows this. To make a bumpstock work, you must grasp the foregrip and push forward on it with your other hand. It's this forward force on the foregrip that actually actuates the trigger, Not the recoil. The recoil only resets the trigger. Anyway, that doesn't work with a bipod or tripod.

The bump stock still only allows 1 round every time the trigger is pulled. Without the bump stock you can still fire at a pretty fast rate about as fast as the bolt action allows which is the same with a bump stock. Those people have every right to be scared when they hear gunfire as everyone should be. This is the classic case of arming the population, with or without a bump stock you will think twice about pulling out a weapon in a crowd when your life can and will be over before you fire a round.

It doesn't make them automatic they would still be semi-automatic because you have to continue pulling the trigger for each round to fire. An automatic weapon fires by squeezing the trigger and holding it while the magazine then empties. You don't even need a bump stock you can simply hook something over the trigger and then pull the gun forward rapidly, and it would fire in a similar fashion but requires a forward motion to cause a reaction with the trigger being pulled each time you wanted to fire, if you stop the forward motion the trigger won't be pulled until you start that forward motion again or pull/squeeze the trigger! (therefore semi-automatic fire) Of course if someone wants to sell you on an idea, they'll make sure to exaggerate and use those BUZZWORDS to make you believe their bullship 👈 intentionally spelled this way 😉

I was once asked, if I would own a bump stock. The response was only if it was someone else rifle and ammunition. They are fun but for the wear and tear on the firearm. for those of you who do not understand: TMZ did a good interview with the ATF agent that ok'd that bump stock and he demonstrated you can achieve rapid fire without it. That proves that bans do not work, only criminal control does .

The ATF does not make laws. None of the agencies make laws. They are not suppose to make laws. Second, why is she not asking why all the facts of that shooting are not made public? Why are they being covered up and with held. Plenty of information on this. Second, look at the amount of shootings that a bump stock has been used. Less then fingers on 1 hand. Bad people do bad things. He had multiple ways to kill people. Multiple ways. No one also wants to discuss how the shooter wanted to make a poltiical statement and was desiring that everything he used was so it would get banned.

bump stocks do not make a gun fire faster, they make the shooter be able to pull the trigger faster. the mechanics of the gun itself isn't being changed. and even then its only slightly faster then what a human could do without it. a full auto gun shoots at about 600 to 800 rounds per min. a bump stock mighty be able to get around 300. the shooter shot around 1000 rounds in 11 mins, if he had a full auto gun he could have shot about that same amount almost every single minute. Also the bump stock might have actually even saved a few lives because when you use a bump stock it makes you very inaccurate and it harder to keep steady and on target.

The court followed the law, a semi auto weapon with a bump stock does not fit the definition of machine gun because the trigger functions for each shot. The ATF has no authority to make law or ban anything outside of congressional action.
