Nice you be surprised that the sound quality of a very long smaller arrow port. Try a 2 4" 15" long arrow ports and see if you like it. I use 3 4" arrow ports on my 2 18" subs and it hits 10hz to 65hz LOUD!!

It's called inverted bro you'll see alot of builds that invert there subs. Some do it for looks and others do it for volume in the box. Or simply because the subwoofer wouldn't fit in the enclosure.
