Thank God , you're not styling me. I would never wear your today's outfit. Frankly, I find professional stylists' permanent excitement irritating. I will never forget the 1980s when I, a newcomer to NYC (no English), was quite busy surviving and couldn't find anything to wear and put into my apartment. I, petite, with a classic hourglass figure despised military/corporate/idiotic/masculine clothes with football shoulders that flooded stores then just like I despised chintzes, chintzes everywhere. I hated all this, just like I hated the professionals' happy babbling. You clearly have a good sense of style, shapes and colors, but how can you not see that this combination is just ugly? When it comes to the boring argument.. I don't know on which planet you live. But I, living on the planet Earth, get much more excitement than I need. Give me boredom or give me death.

Ellena, what attracted me to your channel was your use of colour, which has been a refreshing backdrop against all the quiet luxury videos that somehow dictated we should all be wearing monotone shades of grey or beige when these don’t suit everyone. I love the unexpected juxtaposition of colours you use to add interest to outfits and how you explain their relationship to the colour wheel. It’s logical but never boring! Personally, I like to use navy or the blue in denim as my neutral colour base and then add a pop of colour for interest. This is something I have learned from you. Thank you! Ellena you should have been with me this morning! Over the past few days, I have grown tired of my wardrobe! It's dark, cold and we still have two months of winter - here in the UK!! I do wear trousers occasionally but am more of a jeans person. ( Only wear dresses in the summer) So this morning I went shopping for new trousers - thinking this is what my wardrobe needs - instead of wearing jeans all the time. However while shopping I was sooo disappointed with the choice of trousers and the quality 😮😮! Has anyone else found that??? I did however purchase a pair of cream - yes, jeans for the spring/summers. Just made myself a coffee and put KZbin on. And there you are, telling me I can wear jeans, just change the accessories!! I never even thought that would make a difference. So next week I shall be going accessories shopping! Thank you so much for enlightening me!!

I’m so glad you are here for me! I turned 64 yesterday. And I am a total Jean girl. This video opened my eyes to how to snazz up my jeans. I have been adding pieces to my wardrobe as I watch your videos. As you say confession time. I shop totally at Goodwill 😊. I’m finding new items that I purchased for $5 up to maybe $10, that retail for hundreds of dollars. Maybe I shouldn’t let my secret out. But to you, I will. Thank you again for helping me so much. I can’t wait to get a jump on spring with my new styles. Oh yes, I do wear bold colors. Now I can just do it better. I also used to wear cute heels, but I can’t wear them any more. I love, love bright colours especially near my face. Your channel is one of the very few that embraces colour. That fuchsia sweater is simply stunning. I’m learning a lot from you. Analogous colours are my faves. Thanks for all you do to teach us about colour. Not into neutrals - even my house does not have any creams, beiges, taupes, browns and neither my husband or myself like these colours. She did a beautiful job and it was much less expensive than buying new. Especially if you don't even wear your jeans that often. The style suits you, so why not?

Very informative and though up in age (76 years and a classic dresser) on occasion I do wear jeans so found this video valuable. Thank you! On that note re outfit #2 with the patterned scarf I hope do not mind me adding; another option for styling is create arm holes and wear it similar to that of a 'shrug'. i.e.: At each end, tie the corners opposite one another together, slip on and adjust where necessary.

Thanks for this! I am retired and live in semi-rural Arizona. So I pretty much wear jeans year round. But I am pretty tired of jeans & graphic tees. This gives me some good ideas for jeans styling. I have been and am a total pop of colour fan in my dressing, and whilst i have made mistakes and will most likely make more mistakes 🤭 those always open doors to fresh fun styling and I love that I came across your content, because we have a lot of things in common, only that i now have better understanding and you have broadened my understanding of my own style - that is all that matters - 🥰 I noticed that when the clothes i dress in are in harmony with myself... it does not matter what anybody says or thinks 😆 one just walks and moves differently and THAT is what makes it unique, owning it! ❤ the Burgundy and navy blue... are gorgeous, will be trying that one!! I loved your styling. My favorite white shirt with scarf over. Its great tip for me, cause white is not my color. Excellent ideas! I have definitely pulled away from jeans over the years because I felt the low rise styles didn’t fit me, then the skinny jeans were a big no for me. There are so many different styles of pants out there that are cuter and often time less expensive than jeans. I will also take a second look at the jean styles.

I love love love colour! You seem to be the only one not on the “greige” train on KZbin! I love these denim looks! They really elevate the jeans, and gives a fresh perspective. I will take these looks and insert the colours that look best on me for a new perspective on jeans! I’d also love it if you could add some suggestions for styling floral prints - it might not be our personal style, but I’m sure I can’t be the only one? - along with your stripes and dots prints, that would be great! I struggle to figure out how to add them to achieve an elegant, but romantic, look. Adding florals in scarves is easy, but tops/skirts/dresses?
