@MiwaEarth You probably have a camera with the new firmware, since Panasonic doesnt have that on their sit yet, Vitality hasnt been able to adapt the hack to the firmware. This is exact reason I dont have any videos on installing the hack, because these issues change from week to week. One last thing you can do to see if the firmware will load is completely shut down the camera. Insert the card with firmware, and after turning it on, press the play button. It should prompt you to load

@flagrant2008 Ask the seller before you purchase to check the firmware if you are buying it from ebay.

i have just start recoding with the gh1 and when i play the footage on my computer it plays back weird rattling sound... by any chance would you know y? thanks!

I have a question. I own a gh1 and in creativitymode it seems that when i set up an iso, to say 200 or 400, whenever start filming the screen automatically sets iso to auto. Have you any idea if this is normal?

@MiwaEarth : all GH1's after june, 10. come with firmware 1.34 does'nt hack. so if your camera has firmware 1.3. 1.31. or 1.32. it will hack. if its 1.33 it may hack n if its 1.34 it wont. Pls note even 1.34 shows its 1.3 but you have to go setup menu to check exact ver. hope this helps.

Hi, I bought a lumix GH1. I have hacked it and it great, but I have a bit of confusion. When shooting in manual mode I set the shutter speed and aperture, that's fine. Why is it that the ISO that I have set reverts to AUTO when I press the record button. When I stop recording it reappears. And while recording the LCD monitor dims. Is there something that I am not setting. Please Help.

@R2FilmProductions : unfortunately you cannot downgrade ver even on 1.34. n this hack onlyworx till 1.32. but im sure u can get one by asking your supplier the serial number if it starts with we9g / where 9 is 2009 n g is month a,b,c,d.... so g is july. same if you got we0f its june,2010. find out model before june ,10 n u will b alright.

So, is it fair to say that a hacked GH1 can shoot better than a GH2 out of the box considering that with a GH1 hack you can record at up to 50 Mbps versus only in the 20s (Mbps) on the factory GH2?
