Lust is a damaging behaviour that is constantly searching what others can do for you to satisfy your flesh (and ends up slaving you to a downwards spiral that never satisfies, whilst hindering you and others), whilst love is what can you do for others in a sacrificial and unconditional way, which does not lead to bondage, but in freedom and growth in others (by sharing with them your soul and spirit). God's intention to love is a marriage between a man and a woman, to commune and share their love and ultimate intimacy of their souls. God's intention for love towards others is a brotherly affection that is separated from immorality and sensuality. If someone is slave to lust, they can be freed by the blood of Jesus Christ, who has victory over all sin. It is important to be attentive to what the eyes are seeing and ears are listening to, whilst also guarding the heart, as this can be something the Devil can imprint into you in deceitful ways (as it is so prevalent in TV, marketing, etc), so if you notice it creeping in your heart don't let it fester but bring to the feet of Jesus and he can remove it from your heart.

Loving this episode on the book of I Peter 3 where we delve deeper on the outside appearance while God looks at the heart and what is inside of you. It seems like you have hit the nail of the head Xenia and Izzy. ❤❤👌🏾😂😂😂 You know it reminded me yesterday how The Way podcast has grown in lips and bounds in terms of the word of God. You really are touching many lives with this bible study. In addition, that was very profound from Xenia when it comes to the bible text in 3:15 when we are being told to give a defense and evidence to what we believe. You a lot of times that is what I was meant to know and believe. However, now hearing about what Jesse and Xenia share abojt we need to spend time with God and he desires that we should know him. Then, our lives will overflow from our relationship with Him. Also, Jesus Christ suffered for the sins that we had committed in order to set us free. He suffered for doing what was good in order that we might have that same kind of life.

It’s okay to love the Word as written and not necessarily see it through a lens of culture. The mandates by God for husbands to love their wives is because wives need to know they are loved. Many men feel loved but do not show it in a way the women understand. They get comfortable and stop working at it. I have seen this over and over in friendships, where the woman feels unloved even though we all know he loves her. Sometimes this ends in disaster. God is trying to protect marriages by this mandate. He must “lay down his life,” put aside his comfort zone and seek ways to show her love. A wife must respect her husband. Men cannot differentiate between respect and love. To be respected is to be loved. How do we show our husbands respect? By building them with our words. It’s not about stroking their pride but rather encouraging them. Shouting at a man is definitely going to make him feel disrespected and yet I see many women do this to husbands and children, too. Belittling a man, especially in public is another way women disrespect their men. We must steer away from this behaviour and not just with husbands but with all people. Women are especially prone to this, I’ve observed in counselling people. Let’s adorn ourselves with love and respect, speaking the truth in love. We can be truthful and merciful with regard to sin and pray that the Lord would show us our own, while we lovingly point out that of others.

Xenia and Jesse said in other videos they were single and content, perhaps J looking forward to the Lord’s provision for him. I don’t know if Izzy still is dating someone, but was in a video from a while ago, at a table discussion - if I recall correctly. These things can change from time to time. It’s a nice age to be in a way, wondering who could be in your future, but also stressful at points. I’m glad that’s over for me.
