Great videos, waiting on the full review. Please make a review on the Yonex polytour drive 1.25 (specially the silver version) as well. Thank you!

That's true, round is an ordinary round poly with more softer and little plasticy feel. Holds tention really well but doesn't respond well to higher tentions and definitely let down by the muted plasticy feel. Has a bit of a hand break effect as a cross string. There are much better round polies out there even at smilar price mark.

I don't find the Silver to be plasticky at all. It's crisp when new and fresh. But I agree with the review, it's not the same as the S7T. Playability drops off much quicker with the Silver. The S7T holds tension very well and plays well for a long long time.

I also would not describe Big Hitter Silver (Round) as a plastic style feel, at least not like Hyper-G. Full review coming very soon.

You’d probably do better with synthetic gut or multifilament. Not sure you generate enough racket head speed to get the benefits of poly

Looking forward to your thoughts TK comparing BHS against Kirschbaum Super Smash Orange. Looking for a good all round poly and I suspect these might play very differently.

I suspect you may be surprised by the outcome. 3rd session with BHS and getting a good sense for what it is ;-)

I've just completed a comparison of BHS vs KSSO - looking forward to your review and side-by-side thoughts. Ps: first time using KSSO, I played some of my best tennis with the KSSO - thanks for the recommendation.

@@koos6318 I'm almost done with my set of BHS, they should break during my next session followed by the review. Happy to hear the results with KSSO, it doesn't always immediately appeal to a lot of players. I see some players who try it for 30 minutes and then abandon it without getting enough play time. It really grows on most people as they get familiar with the deep thump and unfamiliar softer feel. I also see too many players stringing it in the lower to mid 40's and I find it performs sloppy at those tensions. What tension did you go with?

Strung 53lbs. First hit, ball flew off the racquet. I was surprised, too lively, packed it away. Took it out the next day for a competition match but this time with more weight in the hoop of the racquet to help flatten the stroke and pancake the ball better, and from first hit I could pick my spots. I usually play with deader poly but was pleasantly surprised how a lively poly could work so well. It's an odd string as it is soft but still crisp. Totally unexpected. Never experienced that before. My top strings now are BHS7T, Grapplesnake Tour M8 and KBSSO. Thanks to you!

@@koos6318 👍Good deal on the tension. Indoors I go-up in tension 56-58 and I typically go 1-2lbs tighter in the crosses to keep the strings from being too lively for indoor play. It's one of the few poly's that I found gives a little extra pop, but nothing uncontrollable unlike what I found with Head Hawk Power and Restring Zero. My only small gripe is KSSO can get mushy after 3-5 hours, but it's less pronounced as you move up into the mid 50's and I can play with them until they pop around 7 hours. I think you'll find the strings really grow on you the more you play with them. It took me quite some time to fully realize how much I preferred them, which at the time was GrappleSnake Tour M8 which is still excellent but just a step below KSSO in terms of confidence. Let me know how it goes over time 👋

I’ve used Big Hitter Silver for about a year and I am a big fan. $75 for a reel is just hard to beat. But after watching your video on Silver 7 Tour, I’m super curious to try it out. How do you think a hybrid of Silver 7 in the mains and Silver Round in the crosses would play? I’m hoping the shaped mains would provide some extra bite while the round crosses would help with snapback. Thanks for the great reviews!

Hard to say, but in general I prefer to play with a full bed of the same string in most cases. BHS and BHS7 feel quite different and I think a players preference for what type of feel they prefer dictates whether to use BHS or S7
