Wow! I know this fellow, nicest guy I have ever met, real handsome and smart too, who did just what you said. He spent a whole week replacing all sorts of parts on his trimmer and finally had to take it into the shop to get it fixed. It turned out to be a clogged exhaust. Poor guy, I felt real sorry for him, especially since he looks just like me.

Constantly adjusting the air mixture screws every time I used it to no avail, turns out it was the spark arrestor plugged. My fs38 only runs with half choke... even with new fuel primer bulb it barely keeps enough fuel inside it to run.... after about 30 minutes of it bogging down and dying several times it will eventually run ok but mainly wide open throttle.... bought a carb rebuild kit on ebay but yet to install... as far as I know mine has never had the exhaust screen removed and it probably has around 50 hrs or less on it... I wonder about my Husqvarna 36 saw and it's exhaust screen? It usually runs fine but is a pain in the ass with low chain oiling making easy to burn up a chain and bar.... I absolutely hate cleaning out the sawdust after every use or every other hour or two of use!!!!!!!

Thats if you dont run it at full throttle and are always cleaning it, If its always ran at full throttle you should never have to worry about it plugging unless like he says (There is too much oil mixed in) Then it will definitely plug up

Unless you use it daily. It’s junk. The new gas. No matter ethanol or non ethanol. Both gum up in just a couple days. Both of my brand new weed eaters ( high end )have bent shafts now and I pay my neighbor to weed eat. Been working great for 7 years. So I guess the trimmers are not brand new. But 7 years ago when I wrap each one around the fence posts. They were new. One needs more string also. (The oldest one) They junk. None are made for a 6’5” person. None will sit for 2 weeks with gummy gas. If you think your really buying “non ethanol”. Sorry to bring you into reality. But the gas stations that advertise that? Not near water. (Water craft fueling stations are true around here). But highway convenient stores will just put the higher price on the cheap 10% fuel. So buy all the fuel stabilizer you can afford each week. Dump every bit of it into the 1 gallon can you purchase each week. Then your left over teaspoon of fuel in carb maybe won’t solidify. Or be extra anal and stand there till your fuel tank runs empty. And only buy half a gallon each week. So figured all that into your justified price of just paying someone that does it daily to help out.
