@@ABagOfRadiation golden order seal+10 max faith and int will put incantation scaling a good bit above 400, those are the only two stats that this seal scales w and that's the one I use for my incantations on this char. Ik there's one to enhance ancient dragon cult incantations but after fucking around w it I think golden order seal is the way to go. Other than that I don't even have buffs beside golden vow and lightning shrouded cracked tear. Wear heavy armour so your poise let's you tank a hit or two while fully charging ancient dragon's lightning strike and you're pretty much an unstoppable AoE force

Nonetheless, a regular first playthrough is about 25-35 hours, I’m sure this took less than that

Worth noting that the reward you get from the Igon quest from doing it normally, from the dragon priestess, boosts ancient dragon incants by I think like 20%. It does demand you be naked, though, and I'm not sure how well it would fit into the buff routine.

Additional problem: to get that buff you need to beat Bayle first. And Ancient Lightning Strike is only needed against Bayle, as we saw. So once you have that buff, there's really nobody to use it on.

Not worth the risk. He's using the Royal remains armor so that the blood sucking cracked tear doesn't kill him first. Death armor 8% vs Crystal tears 20%

He's already playing with RNG because of how the lightning works so adding on having to do it in 10 seconds is again to risky. If it makes you feel better I'm positive he would haven ended up using the armor if he couldn't get the kill in a dozen try's. Think of it there's a reason he didn't just come out of the gate using the blood sucking cracked tear because it was unnecessary overkill

Just so you are aware, the rolling thunder was not nerfed. It was a glitch that caused it to explode on the floor. I tested it on Bayle after the patch to see what type of damage I could get. Without a fully optimized build, without full on min/maxing I was able to get 56k damage from one attack. They only fixed the attack so you lock on and attack closely so the attack passes through their body. It will only work on larger bosses for that amount of damage. Smaller ones I could only get 30k. That's with 80 faith/dex and level 20 scadutree, bloodsucking and lightning tear, perfumes talisman, lightning scorpion talisman, Alexander shard and dragoncrest greatshield talisman. Also wore Rakshasa armor for he extra damage. I'm certain there's a better way to optimize the build and buffs that I didn't use.

There is a pretty well hidden talisman called “Dried Bouquet” which gives you a 20% to attack power when a summon dies, it’s efficient with the skeletal militiaman could be a nice addition to the buffs.

Quick note on the final build against bayle, there is a actually an armor set called the "Death Knight Set" which boosts dragon cult incants and skills by around 2% per piece, there is also the Dragon Priest form you get from using the Priestess Heart which grants a whopping 20% boost to Dragon Cult Incants (althought this might be a body buff not quite sure). Edit : Priestess Heart is locked behind bayle and that completely missed my mind lol.

Little funfact about the perfume build. I used it to try it's big damage before patch 1.12.3 and since I missed some of the items to do a proper one shot build I simply used everything I had without searching out other stackable buffs (I'm lazy). Doing so I found out that somehow the commander's stendard buff messes up with the aow of the perfume bottles and makes his hit box bugged, the rolling sparks aow simply does not hit the enemy for some reason

Hey Bushy! This video was super awesome (and cathartic to watch), I just wanted to note that at the puzzle tower in the Consecrated Snowfield you can also summon any imp ashes and that’s also a solution! I know that because it’s what I did, and I was confused when you just made them fight each other- I totally forgot that crystal darts can do that to imps because I never use throwables.

Ancient dragon lightning cheese is something that just keeps surviving patches. It's been there since the beginning, and it will be there when the last person uninstalls the game. We lost the perfume, but we never needed it to begin with.

Not only was the perfumes patched but before they were, the lightning one and the frenzy flame one did double damage "under certain circumstances" so they where even more broken. One thing I'd be interested in testing is the deflecting hardtear with the giant crusher, makes the counter do 80 percent more damage, that plus other buffing should do a lot of damage.

I'll say this much, when it comes to buff/stacking I really love the controller I play with. It's an 8bitDo I got on Amazon, what I love about it is the pair of buttons on the back of the grips, but more importantly I can basically set any button to anything I like. That includes the ability to program macro actions with specific delays between each input. With some fine tuning that can make stacking a half dozen different buffs as easy as pushing a single button and waiting for the cycle to complete. That can be taken even further with the concept of hotswapping gear pieces, because that can be relegated to a single button push as well. Theoretically I could probably lump all the buff stacking and a gear swap onto a single button if I really felt like doing that kind of thing, but I haven't decided to go for a "1-hit destroy the universe" kind of playthrough yet.

Just a little minor correction around the white mask and Lord of blood buffs percentage, yes by they’re own white mask is 10% and Lord of blood is 20% however when you have both equipped it’s 32% because buffs are multiplicative, 1.2x1.1 = 1.32

the ancient dragons' lightning strike could've been further buffed by the priestess heart and combined with blue dancer's charm to get it more consisten because the priestess heart buffs ancient dragon cult incantations and you need to have no armor on to use it. And additional use of the heart while it's active will provide a 1 minute buff.

Not as well known effect about lightning: when you use anything with lightning, it’s dmg is increased during rain or if the enemy is standing in water. Additionally if the enemy is standing in water, the lightning will have a blast radius effect, and spread out further. Can be seen with lightning infused weapons in arena’s with water on the floor. Increased dmg while raining can be seen on field bosses. Another effect caused by rain or water pools is a debuff to fire damage.

31:42 you actually don't need to have the imps fight each other, you can use the Imp spirit ashes as well. A lot easier than using bewitching branches or crystal darts.

Just adding my two cents for anyone trying this build. The Madding Hand and Poison Hand both proc a stacking Black Dumpling/Mushroom Crown effect respectively and the buff maintains if you put them away after proccing. Plus they each only weigh 1lb.

There's also a way to one shot bosses get the red spiked club from an invader I think there are two of them that you can get ,one from an NPC and one is from an enemy drop ,boost them to plus 20 boost your strength to 60 and equip the jump attack talisman. Doing a jump attack with these two weapons stacks the bleed proc and you can stagger most enemies in the game including bosses ,want to make it even easier summon your mimic tear and both of you go unga bunga and your boss is pancake batter ,bring along your toughest armor set and watch the fun commence

there is a talisman that boost your damage by 20% when a summon dies, put that with the skelies and you have a respawning damage boost, as long as they dont hit the boss
