This is actually really fascinating to discover I already do all of these as a lifelong resident of southern California. We totally avoid full stop Ts, especially in combination with n. Like, "Dude, I almos' missed my appoin'men'." Even when we DO use a full T, it's almost never a T sound, but rather a D. We wouldn't say "I'll get the car started," it sounds more like "I'll ge' the car starded." It's not a full T for "start", but definitely the muted T: eg "star' the car, I'll be righ' (said like "ride") ou'." And it's so subtle I never noticed it before. But I think that's one of the things that made me feel so at home during my first visit to the NSW area; my Angelino English has lazy slurring to it just like Aussie English does here. I'm planning to move to the Newcastle area with my husband and very much want to assimilate my accent. Studying these videos is going to make that goal much easier, so thank you for this! (Just wandering around my husband's local Coles as he showed me around had residents double-taking and staring at me whenever I spoke and I could do without that lol)

Hi. I like your video, mate! I’m a Japanese guy who learnt English in Aus. And many of the natives I’ve met told me I definitely sound like an Aussie. Although I hadn’t planned to get that accent, it seems I naturally acquired that through learning. Anyway. To answer your last question, I can think of things like, fron’, pin’, Clin’ Eastwood, Min’, Egg plan’. I don’t think the elimination of a letter only happens with the “nt” Especially, I feel that in the Australian dialect, drop of the a letter occurs in various words. To give you an example, I noticed that ,in Aussie English, the “L” sound in the middle or at the end of a word is sometimes barely or not at all pronounced. e.g. “fall” sounds like “for”. “howl” >>“how” “cold” >>“code” What do you reckon?

In American English (at least most of the varieties spoken in Canada 🇨🇦 and the USA 🇺🇸),we tend to drop the T in NT words. Pretty funny and interesting that Australian English has this feature!!!

sort of seems like there's a subtle little T at the end, whether its a slight vibration of the tongue or the way the word is said. dunno. its there....i swear....

Loved it! Well i kinna figa out that when i prenaunce the words mentioned above - that T doesn't get totally disappeared - it sorta being replaced by a micro "brake" sound afta the N. Its a bit simila to the way that Pommies say Bri-ish but their one is much more active and agressive. By the way just mentioning that in Israeli, been in Oz for a year and im at the states now

As he said this not something that Australia can claim as unique to their English dialect. Most English dialects do this same t-dropping especially when speaking quickly, and outside the U.K. But I really wish he'd done a spoken comparison of "can" and "can't" because those two are obviously always different. :)

I think the t is definitely shortened in most Australian English speakers but you usually can still hear it more than the examples shown here. Would guess it's a feature derived from Cockney English but is less strong in Australia.
