About the "no perspective" style- Adding a shadow already Indicates some kind of depth
@akkadiansprayart
@akkadiansprayart 4 жыл бұрын
Was going to say that too, if he didn’t add the drop shadow it would have been flat with no perspective. Once he made it look 3D that adds the depth and perspective although it’s not a linear or point projection perspective. There is still depths perspective in the piece.
@azismoothjudah5894
@azismoothjudah5894 4 жыл бұрын
@@akkadiansprayart that's just a shadow but there is no perspective of the actual shape (or letter in this case) so although the drawing has a shadow, the art itself has no sides; therefore having no perspective.

Absolutely love your channel my friend. I am from Northern Ireland which on the side of so many houses in my country there is art and political art at that. But growing up as a kid I loved looking at it and wondering how it was done. I turned to art about 4 years ago to help me with PTSD as I served in the British Army and was rendered disabled after having my spine shattered and crushed on an operational tour. But I think channels like yours are so important because so many people look at graffiti and think it is just kids making a mess with paint. However they have no idea the amazing level of skill that is invested into the work and a lot of people don’t even class it as art, yet I think it is absolutely Art but a very complicated art at that. I think graffiti artists such as yourself are amazingly skilled. I have tried so many times to do graffiti style art in my sketchbook and it looks terrible every time so I wouldn’t even dream of scaling it up onto a wall. I think Graffiti artists just like tattoo artists are so over looked and deserve all the recognition of a famous oil painter or watercolor artist. Love your work my friend and think it is amazing

What a nice way to show people, i love how you improved your art! We did this a lot when i studied architecture, another good way of learning perspective and light is to set up different types of cubes on your table and light them from different angles and try to draw them from different perspectives... I learned so much about perspective that way, we actually had to do that for hours...

Video idea: I thought it would be pretty amazing if you would try to make a 2 tone piece or what to call it. What exactly iam thinking of is, when you take movie 3d glasses and look threw one of the colors, one image will be show. And if you look threw the other color another image will come up. If you wanna see it instead of my horrible description go to @insane51 on ig. (sorry if I can't say his instagram just for inspiration) . . . I love your videos and you actually got me into graffiti. @xaytana

You should redefine what you call no perspective as projection. Images that appear flat are parallel projections, as they lack depth and appear 2D. Your shadow example would be an orthographic projection, as the opposing faces of the body have the same dimensions; though in the case of a shadow there is no solid body, just two faces. There's also a blurred line between orthographic projection and perspective when depth is extremely shallow, which is why perspective-based art typically relies on depth of field. This blurred line also becomes further blurred when using text with a shadow, as you only have two planes and not a solid body. Combining the two makes it even worse, as now you have a shadow with a shallow depth, where a shadow in perspective shrinks in depth, you're now removing that depth, which would allow a shadow in perspective to look like an orthographic projection. It's an issue of interpretation when there's a lack of information to process, which is why shallow perspective can appear as an orthographic projection, and why shadows have a similar issue between the two. Also don't forget about 4, 5, and 6 point perspectives.

there is even 5point perspective, on 3point one your drew the T wrongly... you can use grid or many other methods for organic shapes in perspective. perspective is one of art fundamentals, you should learn all of them and think about them while drawing. for visual art They are color, form, line, shape, space, texture, and value. The ten common principles of art are balance, emphasis, harmony, movement, pattern, proportion, repetition, rhythm, unity, and variety. in each of these groups go fundamentals like perspective, composition, color theory and so on and others start here
