What really stood out to me was how good the prediction of the outcome of battles was. Instantly seeing what would trade well and not in a very early stage of every engagement.

The minimap shows you where the opponents have spawned at the start of game with the red crosshairs (0:34), which after a few seconds go away - can save yourself some scouting next time (or grab the uninhabited quadrant early if you're feeling particularly greedy).

I really am surprised by the lack of cross team co-op...barely any of the strengths of the Protos and Zerg were used...Zerg ground forces can be produced very quickly to provide distraction while Protos can focus on building a superior air fleet

Protoss player made me the angriest, stalker spam against siege tanks/Marines? 10 minutes of talking with your teammates and you have a 100% Win stratedgy, alone because they have 800 supply and he has 200

@@the_rabidsquirel it is not only that, but the zerg didnt try 6 pool the protoss didnt canon rush if the protoss go canon rush, the guy will be forced to send 2 scv after the probe and 4 scv against the pylon, it mean he is unable to build his wall and so the zerg can come with his zergling other terrans can try to rush to made marines or reaper other strategy is baneling or roach for the zerg marines for both terrans mass zealot for the protoss and launch an attack in less of 4 minutes the golds players lack of agressivety

That's kind of embarrassing to be honest. I feel like the only way they lose is by running full ground armies into mass-tanks, one by one, and that's exactly what they did. If they just build air units and make sure to take the outside bases then surely there's no way they'd lose.

If they all played terran, all built marines only, rallied all units to the mineral line until the jump off moment (fuck expansions, don't give him a surface area to attack), and rushed at 40 supply each, I don't believe it's physically possible for him to hold.

So frustrating watching these four fail so hard. I feel like any semi-intelligent person would think: "let's overwhelm this guy with a variety of units that he can't possibly counter all at once." What uThermal said about sneaky units early on (oracles, mutas, etc.) is spot on. Instead these guys turtle, feed units to him, then allow him to expand. 😅

The minimap shows the spawn locations at the beginning of each game with big red bullseyes. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. The game gives you that initial scouting info by default. 0:34

That's a perfect example of why StarCraft 2 is the best RTS out there. Skills really matter and that was a skill diff for sure. Such a gap between Gold and Grandmaster.

Tbch I'm not a SC2 PVP player so maybe I've missed something important or maybe don't know about a certain PVP rule/s, but it's hella weird to think that those 4 players haven't grouped all their armies to attack in the same time from different angles like surround him from different sides. Wouldn't that make it so much harder for uThermal to focus and defend? As he said it's not ideal at all to fight 4 different maxed armies at once. Let's be honest they have around 800 supply cap together while he has only 200.

New setup idea! Fast 5 CC, but swap 2nd cc built with main orbital n turn into planetary. Then fly first orbital to natural n build the 3rd cc next to it. Once finished, swap that with orbital on natural n turn 3rd cc to planetary. Now you have protection for mineral lines on main and natural. You could then build cc 4 and 5 next to the first two planetaries for protection. Could even proxy all other structures since planetary would be enough early on!

This is really good training to play someone like Maru - bet it's like trying to play 10 people at once with his multitasking lol. Challenge idea: Get 2 pro gamers to play against but they can only go up to 100 supply each. I think Archon mode is clunky and not actually like playing 2 people. Let them have their own race but limit supply to make it fair.

Good show. But. Those 4 players didn’t work AS A TEAM. example is. One Terran go 💯 on reaper harassment early while Protoss goes straight to carriers. You can’t defend against both. Zerg goes speedoings while other Terran goes bc’s. You have to split it up or ALL GROUND dies to tanks. 😂
