Bills fan here. Tom Brady ruined my childhood (2002-2006) He ruined my teenage years (2007-2013) He ruined my early adulthood (2014-2019) Now I gotta 7 year old son who cried last year when the Bills lost to Brady in OT! This man has been around so long, he made ME cry when I was little, & now he’s making my kids cry… 😤 WTF!

You have to let that sink in. A 45 year old man playing professional football on the highest level, as a pocket passer in a time where dual quarterbacks kinda take over the league, playing guys half his age is leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns. This man is inspiring on and off the field!

@@erikpuka2627 i believe it. brady gets rid of the ball faster than anyone else so it makes his line look better and less tired as the games go on. makes them all look like pro bowlers. then people who think rodgers or mahomes have a line worse than him, here is something they are too flawed or inexperienced to realize- they hold onto the ball on average more than 3 seconds. brady averages 2.3 per snap. brady is also the only QB in the league where (on purpose) he holds onto the ball shorter, longer, shorter, longer, to get defensive players off rhythm. 1 second here, 3.2 seconds there, and then 2.4 seconds. he thinks of all the small things that will make him better. it is all the small parts not the big things. he does not have the same athleticism as these guys but he makes up for it in hard work and mental cognition and processing. only manning comes close to Brady in that department (arguably about the same but Peyton did not do as well in the playoffs against the same teams). I’d hardly say dual-threat quarterbacks are “taking over”. The last ten Super-Bowl-winning quarterbacks are Stafford, Brady, Mahomes, Brady, Nick Foles, Brady, Peyton Manning, Brady, Wilson, and Joe Flacco. Wilson is the only real “dual threat” on that list.
@blacker5826

@@arahagopian2364 He meant it as in big contracts, guys who get overhyped in the media. Guys like Mahomes, Jackson and Allen. They all average more than 10 rush yards per game which is considered dual-threat. I agree that the pocket passer is still superior with enough processing and cognition but there has been a huge push in the NFL to get the next Mahomes or Jackson which in my opinion is simple the wrong move. The same thing happened with Peyton Manning basically the entire 2000s for pocket passers.

So you weren't even born.... that means you have little idea of how much someone else achieved before Brady was even in the NFL. Unless you sit and study (like a college class) films like this: You will see Montana at 33:00 minutes to 36:00 minutes doing things Brady could never do... at any time in his career: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZrTga2Oqr6Mh8k Before Brady was in high school, there was a QB that I watched - and many other sports fans even before MY time ... they watched - and they and I agree that that QB could do things Brady has yet to ever achieve: Here are just a few examples: I understand your admiration for Brady... I like him too. But he's not the best to ever play.. Bc I saw someone play QB and never have the turnovers brady has had in big games. Joe Montana: And Joe scored ALOT more points than Tom ever did in the super bowls (during a time when defenses were allowed to REALLY be violent on QBs. You saw just last week exactly HOW FAR the NFL has gone to try to protect guys like Brady in the past 20 years. Those protections did not exist 40 or 30 years ago.
@MrLarryLessor
@MrLarryLessor Жыл бұрын
Montana did not have Jerry Rice in 1985: Rice was in college. And yet Joe scored more in that Super Bowl (38 pts.... in LESS than 4 quarters) .... Than Brady has EVER scored even though he's been to the SUper Bowl 10 x Times!!! That means he's had 10 chances and never could reach joe's SECOND highest point total of 38 (TOm needed OT just to get to 35.... and do you know how many passes Tom needed? 62 to reach 35 pts!!! That means a lot of little dinks and dunks to Edelman and James white and Gronk. Joe only needed LESS Than 35 passes to reach 38 pts. Joe Needed less than 30 passes to hit 5 TDs and 55 pts in 1990: What that means is: Every time a receiver was streaking down the field, Joe hit that receiver right on the money.... didn't waste hardly any opportunities. Was very efficient. And had Zero turnovers in those super bowls. Tom has never reached that level of play..... But alot of folks are dying off or don't remember or never learned about these games back in the 80s..... because they are over 30 years old.... Just pop on youtube: You'll see better play than pretty much anyone has ever produced. Even Mahomes - who is amazing..... has not been as accurate as Joe. Mahomes already has more turnovers in Super Bowls than Joe ever had.... And Mahomes can do things Tom cannot do. Tom is great.... but I would say I have shown enough evidence to raise SERIOUS questions (if not flat out reject) the idea that Tom is "the best to ever play". Tom can't move like Joe could in that video above...

@@MrLarryLessor hey I totally get where you’re coming from and I do agree with you. There have been qbs like Montana in the past and guys currently like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen that I would say are better than Brady talent wise. But I also agree with the statement that Brady is the goat for this era of football. There’s always been one. For example when my dad was my age everyone agreed that Joe Montana (or Brett Favre and maybe Troy Aikman depending on who you talked to and location) was forever and always going to be the greatest to ever do it. Hell when my grandparents were young the same was said about guys like Roger Staubach and Walter Payton. And I know for certain that one day in the future some guy is gonna come along and break all of Brady’s records and then he’ll be considered the goat. And then there’ll be a guy after him and so on. I do like Montana more than Brady bar none. Hell I’m a chiefs fan Brady has caused me nothing but pain lol. Though really it’s Brady’s longevity and consistency that puts him in more of a high standing for me. Do I think he’s the goat of all nfl history? No, I’d probably say Montana on that one. But when it comes to the modern league Brady’s at the top for now. Until someone inevitably knocks him from that spot.
@blacker5826
@blacker5826 Жыл бұрын
@@MrLarryLessor Joe Montana was a beneficiary of the Bill Walsh west coast offense. Tom Brady has yet to even be in a scheme of the west coast, an offensive prototype that by history is the highest-scoring offense. The clip you showed, that was Montana when he was 26. Even Brady was running somewhat like that early in his career. But to say Brady could never do that because of his physical ability, you are ignoring the mental and true fundamentals of a quarterback in football- get rid of the ball fast and throw it to your guys at certain parts of the field that you, the quarterback, read and process. A video that pretty much measures almost everything is kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZfLg3-Ffsd4p9U&t And to say Brady has the "better defenses" argument... for a modern comparison, Brady has been taking pay cuts, even before KNOWING Giselle even existed. That leads to more spending on the defense, with Brady having C, or in most cases D-tier receivers in New England for 19 of 20 years. Yet he still got stuff done. Montana did as well before Rice. There is a con to this however, because Montana's era of football did NOT have the salary cap, meaning owners could spend any amount on their team. That's why you only saw NFC teams win the super bowl in the 80's, with very few amount of teams winning until the salary cap was introduced. Now for the actual argument against Montana about defenses, Montana has, by far, had a better defense than Tom Brady in both points and yards, both in regular and playoffs, both per game and per drive. This isn't to knock Montana, this is just to prove the "defense" argument is flawed. Brady, if he did play only 15 years, would be 4-2 in super bowls, meaning he would out-rank Joe Montana because he was 2nd place 2 times, compared to Joe coming 2nd place 0 times. Tom Brady also never had any historic bad games. But Joe did. You can find a Brady box score that he doesn't light up but none are horrific.

Watching Tom Brady play in that 2001 Super Bowl season was quite literally one of my first memories as a human. I’m 24 years old now, the fact that he’s still playing, and is arguably still the best player, I mean it’s absolutely mind blowing 🤯 Update: So from some of the replies, I’m gathering that some of y’all were a little slow in your development. This might be breaking news to y’all, but people do indeed have memories from when they were toddlers (3-4 years old). Do I remember every Pats game from that 2001 season word-for-word, bar-for-bar?? Of course not, but I do remember watching them play, especially in the SB.

Rodgers rose to prominence as the next big guy followed by the ''Legion of Boom" and after '13 the media was all over Brady's future. @@Douglas768 it’s not like he threw 20 INT’s. So I’ll take the eight more interceptions. That goes along with 1k+ yards, more TD’s etc. I’m glad you agree. Because that’s the major thing he will be remembered for and that’s the only major record he will retire with. Brady will retire with all the major records and it’ll take a superhuman effort and more offensive leaning/ rules leaning NFL for anyone to break them. Now that Adams is gone.
