Another great fishing spot for Rainbow Trout in Missouri is Bennet Springs in Lebanon. It's a wonderful stocked spring with a lot of fish and it's very beginner friendly. Been going for years and I highly recommend for anyone who wants to start fishing.

Nice video, I've been fishing that place for 30 + years. We go to the spring river in Mammoth Spring AR for a few days. Then up to Montauk and to cap it off stop by Rockbridge on the way home. Last year's average size was about 3 1/2 lb with the largest 7.14, caught 62 in a day and a half. That hurt a bit, but so much fun. That place is like going to Disney World for a trout fisherman.

So it's private property business. You pay for a catch and keep or catch and release permit from them. All fish that are caught are turned in at the lobby. You pay per pound. They have rooms and a restaurant on site or you can day fish. But yes you have to run the fish across the scale. Thats how they stay in business. They have a hatchery on property and stock the stream. Most are 1.5 - 3lb average. Clean healthy fish.

@Joekenetic I don't mean to be rude or anything, but man. $30 bucks everyday for fishing, plus 5 bucks per pound is a little ridiculous. Especially with Bennett Spring and Roaring River so close. Taneycomo is also close. Looks like a absolutely gorgeous spot that is magical, but thats too rich for my blood!

I keep them. I get the catch and keep permit. These babys go right in the freezer.
