I would much rather invest in Reddit. I have actually found it very useful to get information and informed/professional opinions on any number of topics. Hopefully the validation comes down a bit. I understand the investment case for Snap, and may invest in it. In addition to the risk you bring up, though, I feel like Snap is maybe more likely than other social media companies to be negatively affected by future government regulation, given my understanding of who their users tend to be, and what they use it for.
