Faziella....it blew my mind that her assist on Pugh's goal went completely skipped over by Foudy and Darke. The only way that goal happens was from Heath's effort. It wasn't even mentioned till the end and only in a passing fashion. Credit where credit is due...that was fantabulous!

Just waiting for Lavelle to bring it all together...she is the most soothing player to watch on the field. She just glides in open space and through confrontation. I love when she jumps over players. Even her passing and ball control has such fluid definition to it. Lavelle the Gazelle. Someone had to say it, ha!

I agree.I think that one physical traits that she has is the length of her stride. She seems to gain a half step on diligent well positioned defenders on very short runs.....She has got some serious wheels on her.

I can't believe McCall broke her elbow on that fall. Looks like a freak accident- the fall was nothing. Hopefully she recovers quickly :(

She landed wrong. You have to take into account the speed at which she was travelling, the height from which she landed at, and the way her body was moving. She wasn't set up in the best position, and it resulted in her landing wrong. Plus it looked like her elbow might have dislocated momentarily as well. I can't believe the announcers couldn't see that!!! It was so obvious!!! Still that sucks, to have that happen literally at the beginning of the game. But that happens, sometimes people land wrong, and sometimes people luck out and are okay. I fell off a 16.2 hh horse and landed on the back of my neck and I was completely fine, got back on and finished my lesson. I just got lucky and was able to land okay. Also, thanks coconut juice x for the amazing uploads!!! I seriously love you for doing this!!!

Ataround 13:37 a Play developes that could have resulted in a goal. It started with Alex appling pressure and recovering a ball which she eventually tapped to Pugh. You see Morgan then turn towards the goal looking for a possible pass back for an open shot at the goal, but it never happens instead Pugh decides to shoot on her own, This is the kind plays that players like Pugh should be able read. A good return pass to Morgan would have resulted in a goal instead we are left with a shot from Pugh that went wide. Not sure why Pugh did not make that return pass to Morgan maybe she didn't see or maybe she decide to take shot for herself. What do you guys think

I agree with your analysis of that chance.Perhaps she didn't see Morgan or was confident on the angle she had.I doubt it was anything selfish.At the level of play that they are at however, it should be considered a tactical error .I am certain there has been some intrateam discussion about this
