Today in Pixel Gun 3D I want to talk about the Gamemode 1 v 1 duels, I used to do alot of duels video for you all but stopped over the last few months. I want to show you how much of a mess this gamemode is and why it needs changing.

I feel like there's barely any skilled players in duel....all you see is ultimatum and vertical foregrip spammers

While generally I absolutely love high mobility weapons in the game, most pulling towards target weapons, especially vertical grip device, are way over tuned to move way faster then people can feasibly react. Given that such increable speed can be quickly chained with extreamly high damage weapons such as ultimatum, dislike and several snipers along with latency (which isn’t anyones fault) means you can very much already be dead by the time you see the enemy move Another thing is the utter crazy hit box on consecutive explosions, making it extremely easy to land hits with. In the test polygon, you can hit the sniper target while you stand on the ground Regardless, I’m glad ecko can understand that that poor balance is the designer’s fault, not the players fault.

@@Bengiamino wow it’s almost as if having an unfriendly progression system, locking the majority of viable weapons behind timed events and RNG mechanics, requiring constant commitment to stay in a good clan, requiring long term investment to get good damage modules to deal decent damage and a meta that rewards specific, repetitive gameplay is difficult for new players to approach.

4:58 ngl this guy was kinda sus. His Time Machine cooldown went really fast at convenient points during the match. But my overall view of Duels is that the gamemode is a total mess. I don't even bet chests. I just want to hone my skills in 1v1 fights, but the Duels gamemode is filled with spammers who abuse very op weapons. How am I supposed to compete if everybody rains a bunch of bird poop and Dislike bullets onto my face, blasts me in the face with the Ultimatum 24/7, and flies around like a bird on cocaine all the time?

Ecko, i dont think its about taking those specific weapons ONLY from duels, its about fixing or just bannig them, cuz the idea of teleportation and other astronomic abilities shoul not even be in the logic of this darn game, i mean what in the world does it mean to have a weapon that teleportates or target marks or steals ammo or auto aim or shifts abilities from shotgun to laser like the new shotgun..?! KEEP IT SIMPLE pixel gun, its the better path.

yeah I was thinking in a way the same thing. The devs removed homing missile weapons like nano bots, the judge, bee swarm spell, and removed it on the duel cryo pistols because it was beyond stage 4 cancer but the devs keep the pulling towards target weapons. To me the weapon says pull towards target like the player. Not pull on a wall or a stripper pull you feel me.

What went wrong with duels? 1. Poor weapon balancing, the fact that only a small group of weapons can completely dominate this mode. 2. Gadget spamming, they can be so ungodly powerful and provide too high of an advantage. 3. Scammers...need I say more? One way they can help is by heavily needing things like ultimatum, dislike, consecutive explosion weapons, Pulling weapons, removing target mark and x-ray or just completely banning gadgets from duels.

edit: 4:57 this is what I mean, those type of players ruin the duels experience :( edit 2: I forgot to mention the disconnecting abuse.‼️ pls dont do this you could be banned,‼️ dont say I didnt warn you. You can play for chest and kill the enemy once and win just by disconnecting. every time you disconnect and reconnecting you get spawn protection that lasts lile 2.5 secs or whatever. You can get a kill and keep doing this abusing the spawn protection so the timer runs out. Surely this takes a lot of time but you can get an easy chest and the other player is left scammed. I don't know a fix for this but something has to be done, maybe banning players, like after a game you can get an ID for the game replay and give it to the devs to investigate. why? vertical grip device, battle falcon, dislike or any other heavy combined with jetpack. Ultimatum with x mods pumpkin mask tiara and new cape can deal huge amounts of damage [lemme calculate real quick, 405 damage to the body D: ] duels arent fair anymore and tournament duels banned way to many weapons although I like that change. I would like duels to disable gadgets, maybe disable modules and only allow players to use rare armor (200hp total) also disable pulling toward target weapons and weapons with the shotgun property. This would make the gamemode more fair

Time machines cooldown is not that fast. It also makes a sound and has a white flash effect. Thus, he was using hacks. Also at the start of the match, he teleported right to you before 3 seconds had even gone. Which is impossible.

No, he had pulling sucker gun as well time machine and vertical grip device, he was moving so fast with all three combined that it seemed that he was teleporting. I have faced off players like that and got absolutely destroyed so i had to change my load out again in duels, im just waiting to 1v1 another player like that

Since the Veteran Melee was nerf, its been hard to defend against those Annoying Spamming Vertical Grip User with there Jetpack, Watch, Dislike and Ult Spam. Also you can’t aim directly up but they can aim directly down which is annoying. Also the hight limit is quite high for standard. It should be reduced the hight or increase cooldown and decrease durability of the Jetpack. They could also add some form of damage layer to prevent players to stick around in the sky for to long. They should also as well rebalance effects from Armor and Sets. So yeah.

Not gonna lie, I use the gift stealer, which I farmed for, to dodge people with 1 shot weapons…… I personally don’t spend much money on this game, so spamming vertical grip device is the best option for dodging people with 1 shot weapons.

Oh I don’t know maybe the reason why dual isn’t fun anymore could be because they add the ability to Gamble gems for chest speaking of which dual and roulette could actually get the devs in legal trouble because it will be considered child gambling since some of the most powerful weapons you need to gamble to get them.
