#1 Valuation of Goodwill [Super profit and Capitalisation Method]

Normally in books first method described is 'Average Profit Method' but I am starting this topic with 'Super Profit Method'. The reason behind this is that the concept of goodwill can not be understood without understanding super profit.
In this lecture I have explained the concept of Goodwill and its valuation procedure under the following methods :
1. Super Profit Method
2. Capitalisation Method

Methods of valuation of goodwill: 1. arbitary method = mutual understanding 2. Avg profit method I. Simple avg profit = sum of profits / no. of yr II. Weighted average profit= sum of (weight × profit)/ no of yrs 3. Super profit method Goodwill = super profit × no.of yrs of purchase 4. Capitalisation of super profit= Super profit ×100 Normal rate of return 5. Annuity method= super profit × present value factor

Sir, before watching your videos i saw many other tutors videos before who till the half time of academic video take us on thought of other things rather than first discussing the important thing on which they have made their video on. And after seeing your videos it finds me more interesting to do account as you since the commencing of your videos only talks of main thing and neither any abusive language,nor any background music and any none unnecessary things that may distract our students mind as well.
