tbh i kinda like the cheap side better... the white base is more see throught which matched the photo u recreated way better... and also tbh i started using the cheap stuff and if u work it and just get used to how it works then u can create just as good of makeup looks as pros... just takes some skill lol... but all looks dope... i use both still to this day... but for blood more exspensive definately wins for me

I like the expensive side better. Only because I used to do makeup like that, with latex and stuff and I can appreciate it. And you can reuse it every year. And the $ store one is too greasy. It makes me...not feel good to wear it to put it nicely. But I do like the $ store blood. I know the other one is more realistic but that $ store stuff looks better over all with the look IMO.

When things are more expensive they usually seem to have better quality, not saying it’s ok for you to pay a arm and a leg for one shade of face paint just I feel like it looks better, it applies better, it goes on more evenly and you have more of a consistency. It gives you a sharp nice look. But yeah for it being one a night or a one time thing go for it (the dollar tree/ cheaper) but personally I love doing my makeup and having fun with it making me look good as I go along so that’s why I prefer using more expensive nicer quality products.

The only thing different is that the dollar store version is less pigmented

Not quite. There's a difference in pigmentation, but also in overall quality and usage. Layering is sometimes necessary to make colors pop but you can see the dollar store facepaint simply doesn't do that. And something that was not mentioned in the video but it is a great plus: good quality makeup LASTS. Those water activated facepaints last a loooot
