I like the walmart ozark trail baits for some cheap lures. They usually work pretty good. I did have a rooster tail style spinner fail on me while reeling in a fat muskie though. The whole treble hook got bent straight. 😂

@@TylersFishingPosts Yeah it’s a pretty good frog for the price. The only thing I do to it is I boil it for 5 minutes to make the plastic softer

@@Fishing_on_top352 yeah that’s definitely a good way to improve the frog. Other than the body being super tough which boiling will help with is the hook on it. Bending out the hooks on that frog will probably help a ton with hook up ratio

I use cheap frogs. They catch fish like a charm, but they dont last long, pikes tearing them down very quickly. Anyone has experience with more expensive ones? Do they last 10-20 time more?

Do you bend your hooks out? I have tons of blow ups on frogs but always seem to pull the frog out of their mouths!?!?!

Sometimes. It all depends on the frog. 11:30 is a good example to see if you need to bend your hooks out or not. If you slide your finger down the frog and the hooks don’t poke you then you need to bend your hooks out
