Can someone seasoned explain the tactics employed here? Specifically his hero choice, the idea behind it, why they don’t flatten him immediately, the exploits to kill all the npcs and so on? It would increase my enjoyment about 10fold. I don’t think you ever did a commentary video explaining those things either

the AI in warcraft 3 is garbage, sometimes they will sit on their asses doing nothing and other times they will rush your base like zergs. it's all a gamble lol.

The hero choice is based on staying alive without an army and consumables. Archmage for Mass Teleport to exploit the AI in a way, which gives him some time to move around. If you attack their bases they will focus only on that spot and they drop anything they did to rush there. This tactic is also used to make the AI waste their TP scrolls. You can see on some occasions they don't come immediately because they used all of their TPs. Dark Ranger for controlling enemy units and for skeletons. When he gains control of an enemy unit in the back, the AI stops chasing and focus on that one unit only. Skeletons are for distraction too. Alchemist for healing without consumables and to pick off units with the bomb. One bomb one kill. Archmage also for Water Elementals for distraction. And Dark Ranger to keep some enemy units as an army and scouting, like Crypt Fiends. The whole point is dancing around on the side of the map constantly to hide and keep confusing the AI while healing all the time and wasting their resources until they run out of Gold. I hope this helped.

Also the A.I. doesn't really know how to deal with you building on cliffs. If you load a map like Full Scale a Assault and build an expo on the cliff you will see that it struggles to kill it. Same goes for building behind trees (like Divide and Conquer) and on islands (Lost Temple RoC & TFT, Islands, Hurricane Isle and a few others I think) Also burrowing the charmed fiends is another reason to pick DR, if the bits research the burrow upgrade, which I think they always do. The whole plan is to make the A.I. run out of gold, but he can't mine any without losing it a few minutes after building it, if not immidiently, so that's another reason to pick Alch (his ult). Transmute gold helps you build more buildings and buy items from shops and marketplaces. He also picks a good 24 players map (there aren't many of them), that's why it takes 6 hours. Note that he can always summon an elemental and keep it behind him for scouting. And BTW, bits can't cool DR cuz she is a UD hero. Another weakness the A.I. has is that it will always chase you if you attack it every once in a while. This can be abused a lot tod you are far away from a base so they don't launch na attack towards your remaining buildings (even tho it will be with something like 3 gargs). Extrenily useful when you are revealed and cannot really afford to lose units. So yeah, a lot of effort went into theory.

To add on what the others are saying, i think what I also noticed is that he was going after all of the tough neutral mobs the AI would go after, and he basically cheats the AI's heroes out of getting any XP from both those mobs and any of his units since he goes for hit and run tactics mainly.

Maybe the algorithm was screwed by him moving everewhere, so they tried to hunt him, until eventually some of them got priority to attack his base? I haven't played warcraft for like 15+ years, so I'm just guessing.

It's also possible that the AI was really, REALLY busy trying to creep. There's an abundance of creep camps on this map, and I notice that the AI tends to like trying to help their allies with even the most elementary of creep camps.

Funny enough I defeated 3 insane AIs using this tactics. I'm not the best at melee but I've played enough custom campaigns and maps to also think of this idea. I lost my base back then, but managed to stack enough resources to basically just run around the map. Arcmage is just too good at doing hit and runs.

Is UD the hardest race to face? I would guess H easiest as they usually require a great threat before they advance from t1.

@@juggram_99 Up to like 2018 or so UD was deemed the weakest then improvement in necrorod micro was a game changer. Note that UD became viable before the new patches, it was still in 1,26 era. Also take in mind we talking bots. UD bots usually strong early on but over time goes down to like 55 food army

I think he could've picked either UD/Orc/Human as opponents, just not Night Elf (Night Elf AI has bug that causes the game to stutter heavily until its no longer playable, i think they haven't fixed this yet since this is a bug from even the early days of WC3)

You have to follow two rules: 1. Don't attack them. 2. You need to build an army because bots will attack you if you don't keep your army limit high.

Аи обычно шейду не строит поэтому плащ невидимости ломает игру. Лич с плащем вообще супер имба против АИ т.к. он не тпшиться наультимэйт. Свиток тп не работает потому что аи сразу идет ломать замок (откуда он знает где его строят?). финдов с закопкой переманивать и как точки для тп раскидывать бы. Для разводов ud аи нужны инвулы или лучше невидимость, если жуков мало. Хотелось бы увидеть игру против нового АМАI . Спасибо за игру!!!

Computer is so dumb. No sense of strategy. Pure micro and mechanics. All you have to do to beat it is attack and force it to waste gold on TP over and over again while you staff out until the computer runs out of gold for TPs and you win. Yawn. Anyways, nice job, Happy!
