Thanks man, I work hard on creating templates I can follow easily to decrease my work time and increase productivity. I have a bunch of random videos scattered throughout my channel on how to do so 😁

You know me, I have built all my processes around being as efficient as possible. My only hangup is drive time 🤣
@charshii3745 Жыл бұрын
Drive time doesn’t scare me. I already drive around 5-6 hours for work every week (1 hour round trip 5-6 days a week) for my 9-5 job. If I can really get focused and make real estate videography a career, 3 extra hours of driving for 30 hours less of work every week and for more money sounds awesome. Thanks for the breakdown and perspective, I’m really going to start taking this seriously and put my head down and put in the work 🙏

Your content is awesome! I have been an appraiser for 30 years. Drive time is the productivity killer! We found some net gain by finding ways to be productive in the car. Technology now allows for mobile office (but you need 2 person teams).

I think about this all the time, how to be more effective in the car while driving. Days I do work that I send to editors I can send those files while driving, but ultimately it does not save me that much time and cost me the money for having an additional roving data device. Thanks for watching!

If your area has great public transport you can work while transporting, or just relax, talk to someone, or watch a video (hey, breaks are good for you). In my city I can probably sit and relax about 75% of the travel time. Would still often be faster for me to drive, but then I can't do other things.

Jeremy, when scheduling jobs how do you determine the quanitity of homes/services you can fit into a day? Is it the same for you and your employees?
@jeremydeihl Жыл бұрын
This is all dependent on your personal speed, the services you provide and the size property. I personally built out a spreadsheet to give my admin that has the exact time it takes to do each service +15 mins for (just in case scenarios) and then drive time.

Is the money that you are getting paid your gross or net pay? How do you estimate the drive into your pricing? Mileage or time driven? Do you charge by square footage of the house? I have a massive 12,000 sq ft, 7 million dollar, newly built luxury home that I'm shooting and I'm trying to accurately scale my pricing for a project of this size and decadence. Most of my projects have been modest homes. I don't want to greatly overcharge but neither undercharge for a project of this scale. Any thoughts or tips to help accurately charge for luxury homes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks brother for all the great information and knowledge. I really appreciate your work. It's awesome!

Way to rock that old man sweater, Jeremy! I have a collection of frumpy old sweaters that I bust out from time to time 😂

Will you be offering one on one training? Would you say there's more business out there than you can handle? Or is the market balanced between available photographers and the demands of the market? Supply vs. demand.
@jeremydeihl Жыл бұрын
It is something I am going over now to see how it might be possible. Right now I only do consulting work for companies/brands and have only worked locally with 1 on 1 training. If it's something you are interested in you can email at contact4jd@yahoo.com and I'll put your email on the list.

Thank you for this; very informative. Was there any editing shipped off or did you do everything yourself?

Almost all me, very little shipped off that week.

Great video Jeremy! It certainly points out how efficient your shoot/edit system is. I didn't see you break out a slider in your bts of the video shoots...just the gimbal. Still using your slider and if so when do you elect to use it?
@jeremydeihl Жыл бұрын
I typically just use the gimbal unless I'm doing time lapse work on the property or if I'm using my 180mm for something unique/special. Other than that the slider basically lives in the studio right now and I keep my spare one in the back of my truck in case the gimbal breaks on site.

Great video. 10,000 houses is a lot! I am at just over 1,000 and am trying to increase my workflow efficiency. My editing process has the most opportunity for improvement. Takes me about 30-45 minutes to do an average house with HDR merging in lightroom. I was starting to consider outsourcing my editing, but if I can work my way to your editing times I may have to think twice. Thanks!
@ericbarkhurst2951 Жыл бұрын
Yeah his edit times are unreal. I don't have that luxury as I do a little more than a normal real estate shoot. But I am working on minimizing the time. It is the biggest area of improvement for me. I am doing AirBNB 95% of the time currently...those sunset shoots require way more editing.
@madanddad4180 Жыл бұрын
@@ericbarkhurst2951 yeah the main reason I can’t do the process he does is because I have not got to the point where I can control the flash shadows super well in a one shot. I always have to blend it out with a 50 percent luminosity ambient shot.

where are you located ? different area may charge different price ?
@jeremydeihl Жыл бұрын
Different areas definitely charge different prices. That's why I don't like to tell people what to charge, but instead show them how to figure out their COB so they know what they should be charging. I am based out of North Carolina

so you edit 2 full photo shoots and a video in 50 minutes???? I'd like to see that live... and you shoot 2 houses one with video in 2 hours??? again would love to see more of that. That said, great video as always. Really enjoy the channel and the content.

Dude, how do you edit an entire shoot in 6 minutes????? you must be taking one exposure, and then click auto in lightroom
@jeremydeihl Жыл бұрын
Like I said below in another of the same questions, if you watch my past videos I talk a lot about streamlining your processes. I shoot in a way that fits perfectly with my LR presets so it takes on average 5-8mins to edit an entire house. Likewise all my videos are done with pre-authorized songs that have the entire video so all I have to do is insert clips and use my preset grade. If I'm doing a more high end image it's even less time because I just ship those off to editors. You can even see the time on my phone for the video edit and see how little time it takes me for in that short timelapse. I have videos about everything other than my on-site video workflow and that one is in the works too.

How can you shoot 2 houses with one of them having drone for just 1hour and 1 minute. I don't get how you can be that fast. Almost all shoots I do is 45min to 1.5 hour. In my area it is required to take many angles of the same room. Living rooms can have 12+ pictures. Balconies can have 6+ I also need to do HDR, and move furniture around, and also the houses are small and more cramped and have weird angles. It's easier if everything is big and straight. I guess it helps that you have done 10000 I've probable just done 150
@Media-oq9ux Жыл бұрын
Ok I will ask. Under 1 hour to edit 2 houses of photos, one with drone , and a video ? Bizarre.
