Here are my semi freeform dreadlocks which I started with the rubbing method and used for one week. Quick update looking for a more permanent residence so should have more videos to come.

Pretty rad Connor. Been following your channel since 2013 when I was forming dreads on my own and and no idea what the hell I was doing haha. Now since 2014, I haven't had a hair cut and have since let my hair do its thing again without the rubbing method or anything. Great to see you living the #vanlife and enjoying your life man. Stay up, you inspire more people than you realize with being free with your hair (if you can imagine that haha) Let's exchange emails! I would love to meet up in travels in the future and converse on life, dreads, etc. ✌️🕉️

I'm about to start this method so I have a few questions. Did you separate them or in any way control the section size? I want about the same thickness you have and I'm afraid of too much hear getting stuck together. And can I wash them with a normal shampoo I use usually?
@Knottytrent7 жыл бұрын
Lord Hepton I let them section them selfs and some joined and others formed little dreads. I would use bicarbonate of soda and apple cider vinegar rinse or a proper dreadlock shampoo. If you use regular shampoo then there will be residue in it and can create damp/dandruff or even dreads not locking up and having to soft hair to lock up.

Okay, thanks for the response! I've been doing it for 4 days and my hair is already knotting together perfectly, this is a really good technique.

hello hoping you can help me. I started dreading by rubbing a month ago and have run into large flat clumps in the back and small dreads in the front. ive tried having a friend try separating the clump by hand and its extremely painful

I have done the rubbing technique for about a month and parts of my hair is knotting up, but my roots are not!? Is there anything I should do differently or is it a matter of time? Please help guys!😄
@Knottytrent7 жыл бұрын
Callum Lawrence it's a matter of time. The roots will be the last to lock up :). Keep on rubbing with the salt spray and they will in time. Peace

I think pink with purple and blonde dreads are nice u should dye not to the root tho
@Knottytrent7 жыл бұрын
I am not a fan of dying dreads as then if i decide I don't like it I would have the trouble of dyeing them back. It does look good though just not on my I think hahaha

Connor Trent cool I can't believe u replied that's awesome and yeah it's ur opinion also monthly washes might not be the best because you want to dry your hair out and all the bullddup of hair oils glad I found ur chsnnel
