It’s not useless, it just doesn’t have hidden detection, even if it did, people still ignore it as if they had better towers. Only noobs use it when they need a stronger and their first naval tower.

If there was a power up similar in BTD6 where you can place water towers on land I think patrol boat would be way better

The only reason why patrol boat isn't that useful is for hidden detection i think yeah we get it it has a flame thrower and heat seeking missiles but no stealth detec is already a downfall for it.
