This series is bittersweet for me. I salute you Mango. I've been developing on Roblox since quarantine began, over 2 years ago by this point (Technically as far back as 2015, but I learned to program over quarantine). Since then, my lack of motivation has led to little success. I have made many games, but don't properly advertise, update, refine, and get publicity. My plan was very similar to what you're doing. I would do DevLogs that would help me to gain exposure as I work on my current game, and let that build my motivation and determination to work more frequently. This is not the case, I have gotten lethargic and have failed to work on my game much at all. With a whole free day of summer vacation where I say I'll work on my game, I'll maybe get 30 minutes worth of work in, I have a perpetual burnout. When I found you about 2 months ago, you were at 500 or so subscribers. I thought to myself how I could easily pull that off if I focus. I decided then and there that I would focus on my game and finally get something going. It is two months later, I have gotten probably a grand total of 5 hours in on game development. You are now at 11,000 subscribers, and I have failed to even make anything worthwhile. Your progress gives me the envy I need to feel to fully regret how much time I have wasted, and how much I put off everything I wish to do. Keep it up, get even more work in. It'll help sink in the feeling to me about how much damn time I waste, and how I could have already made the front page by now if I wasn't such a sloth.

At least you could code. I Want to get into roblox coding but don't know where I should start and how I should start. And where to find the greatest beginner tutorials.
@minodigital328
@minodigital328 2 жыл бұрын
I was having the same issue a week ago and I started watching AlvinBlox's tutorial series on youtube (the same one used by MangoDev when they started to learn) and now, I sort of understand the very basics of coding in lua. I recommend that when you learn something 'major' in the series (which generally should happen every few minutes) try and practice that thing in multiple scenarios on a test game. Then, try and implement the new thing you learned into a script with everything you previously learned already implemented! The result won't be anything useful or 'functional', but it will sort of help 'lock it in' and help you retain the information. I found this very helpful in my learning! Now, don't be like me and try something too ambitious beyond your knowledge level then suffer from burnout on episode 5. Speaking of, I should go and continue watching and learning! I wish you luck and once you learn more and more things, especially the basics, it will create a snowball effect and you will get pretty good at it! If this doesn't work, then I'm deeeeply sorry I wasted your time with this probably unneeded paragraph. :) Hope I helped

Create a schedule that you follow every day, instead of goals. Start small with a maximum of an hour put into scripting at the start and increase it as you feel comfortable Resist the urge to script all day and burn yourself out. Only follow your schedule and if it’s burning you out reduce the time Make sure that scripting is the FIRST thing that you do in the day.

Story Idea for the game: You wake up in Shikamaru Village, You meet up with the quest giver, He tells you that tomato devils has been terrorizing the Village, Once you reach Level 5-10, you can probably fight Viktor, The leaders of the public safety devil hunters have noticed that the Village people have been fighting back! Shikamaru Village is stock full of oil and other natural resources, The agency had spread devils throughout the village to stop anyone going in an out, due to that they had swell control over the village, After defeating Viktor You willl level up a lot, a little cutscene will play with Viktor bleeding out, he does not give up! He goes rage mode and summons his devil, The Onigiri Devil! A huge Sushi like monster that summons a huge aoe attack every 3-2 seconds, or some sort of Pattern like attack, On top of the onigiri devil, Viktor has taking a Euclid state, with his eyes rolled back into his head and a sadistic grin, after taking down the devil and decapitating Viktor you level up a bit, The agency are annoyed by your actions, they send you on a death mission to defeat the gnome! Reluctantly you go, with 1 companion like friend that will follow and help you, He wields to dual .42 Pistols, You enter the new village along the outskirts of Shikamaru, You do simple tasks and walk around collecting things for the townsfolk, an old lady acts you to “ Help her get water from the fountain of Wholeness “ Of course as the kind person you are you go, but suddenly the Golem emerges! The Stone Devil, The old lady turns into a man, his disguise falling and shattering like ordinary stone, “ Ha! How foolish you are! I wonder how much the Agency shall pay me! Haha!” He hops off the Stone devil and leaves it be to do its job! After a difficult fight you pierce the Devils heart! It shatters into a shell strictly made of disgusting slimy muscle, it falls, and lays there till it’s body turns into ash, The man/old lady who was watching gets a sudden spike in thier heart! Your companion has initiated thier ability! Grasp! The person falls down, having a seizure, You run back to the village to see the commotion! Your companion stays behind, standing there! You arrive to see the old lady with foam in her mouth start pointing at you! “ IT WAS HIM! HE POISONNED ME! “ Everybody looks at you, you stand in awe, your companion out of nowhere is suddenly behind you, With a firm smile, he replies “ Yes! I can vow, he did it “ You look behind and in front of you! Everybody getting ready for a battle, The townsfolk and your companion versus You.

Horror game idea- Lesson you are in your room, and you get a notification on ur phone in the middle of the night, "Looks like you missed your spanish lesson! you know what happens now.." then you must answer 30 questions where you have 10 seconds to say what a certain spanish word or phrase is in english for each question. the more you get wrong, the closer he gets to your front door. until hes in and he goes to your room. then u die. if you get to 30, you NEED to get it right or he will appear at your front door instantly. if you DO get it right, then you get another notification "Looks like you did your spanish lesson today. guess i taught you a "lesson""

hey make this game that about For a Roblox game that supports both 1v1 and FFA (Free-for-All) gameplay, a great option would be a Battle Royale-style game. This type of game pits multiple players against each other in a last-man-standing format. Players can choose to fight each other in 1v1 battles or battle it out in an all-out FFA. The goal of the game would be to be the last one standing. To add an extra layer of challenge, you could add in a variety of weapons, power-ups, and obstacles for the players to navigate. This would make the game more dynamic and exciting for both 1v1 and FFA played and in different game modes such as Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, or Race Mode for an even more engaging experience. With these different game modes, players can choose to battle with each other in a more cooperative or competitive environment. You could also add in leaderboards to track the top players and award them with special rewards Overall, Battle Royale-style games provide a great way to experience both 1v1 and FFA gaming in a single game. With the right features, your game can provide hours of fun and engaging gameplay for both types of players the The following is an example of a code for a Battle Royale-style game with no walls: -- Setup game variables maxPlayers = 10 -- Maximum number of players playerLives = 1 -- Number of lives each player has startingItems = {'Weapon', 'Ammo', 'Power Up'} -- List of items each player starts with -- Setup game functions function OnPlayerJoin(player) -- Give player starting items for i, item in ipairs(startingItems) do GiveItemToPlayer(player, item) end end function OnPlayerDeath(player) -- Decrease player lives playerLives = playerLives - 1 -- Check if player has any lives left if playerLives
