Hi there Wilson's, Smiths here we.got our first RV from Ashland 3 weeks ago. We had been looking for years and it was love at first sight. Must- haves for him were bath and 1/2 , class A and Deisel Pusher. I just wanted a booth😅, but had to compromise, absolutely love what we settled on.

Hey friends! We are content with our B+ for now, "age and effort" for us 😅 Having a ball with it because of the versatility. However, as time moves on, and we have more time to travel, enjoy, and "stay a while"...definitely will consider our needs, desires and comforts for the time. It's just wise to get started exploring and camping (lots of fun) and figure out what works. When we first bought, our seasoned RV friends told us, your first will probably not be your last. Congratulations! Very happy for you two :)

We had a list for our first, large shower and lots of drawers. So many only have cabinets. It was a GD 2600RB and we loved it, it served our purpose for 4 years. We upgraded to a Class A Diesel Pusher that we absolutely love. Not too big but not too small, 38 ft. King bed, residential refrigerator, washer and dryer, and a fireplace.

Definitely felt when you said you didn’t wanna go into debt with a camper. Exact reason why we went the cash route! We see rvs in storage just collecting dust because ppl didn’t end up liking the rv life. Another informative video. Congrats again on new rig and safe travels 🌄💫🫡

Thanks for watching! We’re didn’t do all cash ( which is a great option), but we did stay well within budget. We’re not full time so unfortunately we have to store ours when not in use, but we get out there as much as we can so the dust doesn’t have time to settle😄👍🏾 Take care and be safe!

Great video! You touched on many pointers and shared your likes and desires. As a retired tax accountant, one thing that caught my ear was the tax considerations when purchasing, particularly outside of your home state. It varies by state and the reciprocity agreements each state has with their neighbors. That said, we live in Florida and purchased our rig in South Carolina. We were charged no sales tax in SC because we were not going to register it there; we just had to pay the tax to FL when we registered. That arrangement was very good so that we did not need to potentially pay tax in each state (with potential credits). It is a good idea to inquire about this before/during the purchase. Very informative video! I wish we had met some time back. We bought thinking our kids would camp also! 😂 were now on RV #4 we went from travel trailer to larger travel trailer to a Class A and now a fifth wheel. So now we only sleep 4 and everybody wants to go camping now! 😮 safe travels!

We have a similar story. We purchased a pre-owned travel trailer in March 2022, which we pulled with a F-150 we owned. We purchased a F-250 and upgraded to a new fifth wheel in September 2022. We had never camped before, and that travel trailer taught us so much.

Hey guys great info love the new RV. If you remember we were two/three campers down from you guys at sun outdoors in March with the Banks. You did exactly what we did, traded RV's after one year. I've had four or five campers up to now, last year was our first new Fifth Wheel and it was awesome but after going to so many RV resorts and renting golf carts we decided to upgrade to a toy hauler it is a 2021 but the fifth wheel we traded was a 2024. We love our new to us toy hauler and now own our own golf cart ready to hit the road. We need to link up and talk.

Hi, I just retired a couple years ago and I’ve been following different people on KZbin to learn or try to learn about RVing so those tips that you just went over for your first RV were very enlightening, but I still don’t know when I’m getting into as far as drivabilityhow those things handle on the road what problems you ran into I’m sure there were some things you didn’t go into based on the length of the video so if you could give me some feedback on that, that would be great. We didn’t go too much in depth about drivabilty yet because like we said at the end it’s still fairly new to us and we want to wait until we have some more experience with it before we discuss pros and cons. Stay Loc’d in because we will definitely get into all of that and more in a couple of months when we get back out camping. In the meantime, we will be posting some of our unreleased footage while we were still in our travel trailer until our next season starts around March👍🏾

I have been researching the purchase of a travel trailer and did learn about how there are 3 main brands (Forest River, Thor Industries, and Winnebago) that manufacture several sub-brands that sell to dealer networks and independent dealers. I'm currently researching the purchase of a travel trailer and have been watching videos of a few RV presale inspectors that don't have many good things to say about slide outs. What slide outs have you had experience with and what issues did you have with them?

We've had a great experience with the slide-out on this rig so far, but everyone has different experiences. Our travel trailer was a Winnebago with one slide. We added a slide topper that kept it in great condition. We never had a problem with it. Our current 5th wheel has three slides and we haven’t had any problems with it either. I wish you the best in your search!

@locdinwiththewilsons thanks for your reply. Do you remember the brand of slide out that was on your travel trailer? The Norco Industries BAL Exact Slide is supposed to be a better cable slide. I had not heard of a slide topper until your video. What brand of slide topper do you use?

But Yes, I'm a 1st time tent camper and looking forward to upgrading to something very modest, I now really like Camping/Clamping and just want to step it up "some"... I uploaded a few VLog videos myself of my visit to the Allentown PA RV SHOW a week or so ago (Shameless Plug, Feel free to check out my shopping process 😎) You gave some very good information that I'll be adding to knowledge as I continue my search to determine what I want and need...I just want something small and practical that will be easy for me to up and go and also to maintain and what a Lotta Content creators don't talk about is "Where to actually store your RV", where a I live in a city area and most units, even the smaller ones Won't fit in my driveway... so that's an additional cost of storage fees that I'll have to consider, but I did Subscribe and looking forward to your future adventures this camping season 2025!!! I was also consider buying out of state, versus getting one delivered to a local affiliate dealership...and maybe camping on the way back from bringing whatever I buy home... But Yes, I'm strongly considering "Tear Drop RV" life...
