@@bypassblake3010 I just found your channel. I'm considering the surgery I'm in the process of getting an appointment with the doctor now. My health has declined very much. Due to a spinal injury and somehow I gained 70lbs in a two month period after my last fall it was so random 🥺. Then slowly had other health issues start as I talked with family and my Dr these are hareditary type 2 diabetic, hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, lymphedema in my legs . Gallbladder removal and now surgical menopause 🤦🏼♀️🤣.. so I pretty much stay in the range of 300lbs-325lbs depends on fluids retention.. I live in Arkansas and the Dr is with Baptist health I will be seeing.. I have known other's who have had this surgery and did very well. Except my daddy but I believe it's most likely due to some habit's he didn't stop doing. 🥺 So he's doing great with keeping the weight off but having other complications. So I'm just going through your videos to try and see what would be best for me.. I'm just excited to get my health back this is my goal. I'm 45 and walk like I'm 80 🤦🏼♀️

@@celinuchis90 hey! I'm post 3 months from surgery. I'm 72 pounds down since 10 July, 86 overall/pre surgery weight loss. I'm down from 423 to 338, down 2 shirt sizes, down many pant sizes. Physical, I feel good. Moving better, climbing steps better. First month post surgery sucked, way better!

I just had the sleeve on 6/21/22 I am doing great but my stomach still hurts a little when I try to lift much weight. My biggest complaint is that I get a bad case of the diarrhea the doctor 👨⚕️ said to drink lots of water. When I get to more solid food it will work out I have lost about 38 pounds in 30 days hopefully I can get down to 185 from 339 .

I have so many questions my husband is going to have this done..right now he is starting his pre-op diet and will have his surgery in six months. I have heard a lot of bad things about the bypass and I'm afraid for my husband to go through this. I have heard that the sleeve is better. I have watched your video on bypass v sleeve, I guess I'm just really nervous about it. But it seems you have had a lot of success out of the bypass..and I'm hoping that my husband has the same results.

If weight is what you want to keep off, than I can understand why you wouldn’t wanna build muscle, but to tell people they shouldn’t put on muscle because they are gonna gain weight makes it seem negative. Muscle is actually good weight to have on your body. It increases your metabolic rate, resulting in a faster fat loss which is a good thing! Building muscle will also help tone extra skin people may have that will, in turn, improve its appearance. I like all the good advice you give, but the “building muscle is bad because it’ll make you gain weight” is not an accurate statement.

Part of it is let your body adapt to weight loss. Building muscle is great but you also get very hungry. Hard to do both

I had vsg surgery a month ago today and at a stall n don't feel like I'm going to lose any more. I've lost 35 pounds since surgery
@butterflykisses39963 жыл бұрын
And what do you do on stalls? Do you just continue the same as always protein
@bypassblake30103 жыл бұрын
You will get stalls the first few months and even for the first year. Your body is going through changes and even water weight is shifting making your weight fluctuate a little bit. This is normal assuming you’re in a calorie deficit (whatever your program has set, usually under 1500 calories) you shouldn’t remain at a stall for too long and will eventually lose more weight. You have to just “trust the process” and stick to your program given to you by your surgery team. If you’re concerned you can always contact your nutritionist and / or log your food in a calorie counting app to make sure you aren’t taking in too many calories. Hope this helps!
