I like D2 so much more, but man I don’t remember it being that hard to find items. I remember it being a lot harder than it is in D3, but that looks insane. Do this again, but do it on Path of Diablo! PoD always has 8-player drops enabled and is a super awesome add-on to add an endgame system (maps), ability to "corrupt" items with potential for insane items, adds a "charms" inventory (doubles space in inventory, charms must be in bottom half to function, but can use the space to hold items), enables a lot more builds, actually nerfs hammerdins (maybe the only build they nerfed), but really stays fairly true to the Diablo II experience. Median XL is cool too but is drastically different than core D2.

I do want to add that the old Diablo Community figured out the loot table very well but the information wasn't as public as it is today all over the internet. People talked about this stuff in game and then the chat rooms. Certain monsters drop certain items, that doesn't mean that every time that quality of item drops it's going to be random on which unique it is. Certain monsters like to drop certain unique. Almost every time you ID that item it will be the same one. Then there's another monster that will drop the same item but it will be the other one that is more common. I use to Magic find a lot, well way too much honestly. It can be rewarding but some of the best drops I have ever seen have came from killing Diablo or baal in a full game. The magic fan seems to be at 800% with the game being full then add on top the magic fan of whoever gets the kill. Back then all kinds of hammerdin bots use to run chaos sanctuary and Baal runs so they mostly got the kill and the community knew to let them get the kill for the MF. Diablo and Baal seem to have the widest variety of a loot table. Mephisto runs were pretty nice as well in a full game but usually that was only done by Magic finders, so those were extremely rare.

strangely I've always had way more luck running The Pits with my 370% mf bowazon than Tunnels with my 600% blizz sorc (all p7). the results of these 10k AT runs show that the guy who ran it didn't have much luck either.

After 350 the mf goes more to find rare and magic items instead of unique, so no need to use more than 350-400 mf, if you dont want to find more junk.

CREC is transparent and fair. I can´t say I know him personally, but I am watching his play for a long time. . His numbers and drops corresponding with my playing and with normal finds in community. He is the best farming machine I know from Czech/Slovak community. I played with him many MF tournaments and he is simply amazing = during several years he did around 50k of pit + tunel runs (SC+HC together) a incredible number of pindleskin runs (really don´t know many , 50-60k?). Completely dedicated to Diablo 2 and legit player. He collected Grail in SC and now he will finish HC grail I am pretty sure. Big thanks to DBRUNSKI for the video!

I knew the item was decided upon drop (since no other unique can drop that game). I thought the item stats depend on when you identify them, so you identifying them vs the original owner of the character would have different rolls on the stats.

I was complaining today id never seen a facet before and a perfect lightning facet dropped that run. Was watching Llama showcase all of his drops from his grail finish at the time and he was showing off all of his. Was insane timing. Dropped off hell meph along with an arach on same run! I want to go lightning sorc eventually and have been getting all kinds of stuff making me think thats the right move. One of my first amazing drops was a griffons, granted it rolled almost anti-perfect.

After following your pitzerker mf guide I had an astreon's iron ward drop I think on the first day of starting to farm there. I got some other goodies there too, like the cranium basher. You CAN hero edit unidentified items. It's a pain in the butt, but let's say you wanted to create and unidentified HoZ. So you'd go to create item, find the base (Gilded Shield), then you have to flag it as a unique item. After that you have to scroll through all the unique items and find the right name (Herald of Zakarum), then manually input all the stats (durability, base defense, and ilvl included). Then there's a flag to set it as unidentified. EDIT: I'm not saying all the items are fake of course. Just that it is possible to create unidentified unique/set items in HE

I found this ladder on HC LOD with my farm play with 7 players lo and jah just in one rune allmost near each other on the tunnel and just for a hint, consider destroying the obstacles there with telekines, you will be suprised what sometimes drops out of them :D The next big hit was a golden diadem :D but that were allmost the highlight out of 200-300 Runs on tunnels, i cant count, but, i would always consider doing them.

It's true, because traps are treated as minions instead of a lightning-elemental skill, that's why trapsins don't use Griffin or Light Facets, instead they go for Shako or +3 to Traps rare circlets/diadems/tiaras.

10K had to have taken over a year. When I play online and make a MF toon I do about 30 ancient tunnels a day. You know, maybe I didn't do any on Monday because I was tired from work, but I did 60 on Saturday because there was no work... Map changes online every time...

It's been a while since I've played D2, so I wonder why none of the rings were Stones of Jordan. I remember that being the ubiquitous unique ring.

The chance for a unique ring to be SoJ when everything is allowed is something like 1.7%. Same as Wisp Projector and BK. Half the rings are Manald Heal or Nagelring, followed by Dwarf Star and Raven frost, 17% each.

@@xSayPleasex DBrunski did a test, running NM Andy to get 100 unique rings. 2 or 3 ended up being SoJ. It took him just over 2200 runs to get the 100 rings... Yikes!

I found a Schaeffer's hammer I gave away early this Ladder, but I found a Scourge also and it was Horizon's Tornado =/

I have found like....an earthshifter, griffins, a few facets, ghostflame, and I think that's it of those uniques. Have found a zod though.

I used a near-perfect ethereal death Cleaver for years on my Barbarian. I still think a botd in a eth Superior Berserker axe is better. Zealots are another story though. You just miss too much, I thought the negative armor would counter that but it doesn't. I know it says very fast attack speed but it just broke very fast. The botd is much faster in zerker. If you try to force frames with Whirlwind any good melee Barbarian is going to park and smash you as you try to go through them. I use to smash Whirlwind barbarians like pinatas one after another or all at the same time.

I came back to this video to see what I’ve found and surprisingly I’ve found a lot of the rare but not useful uniques like astreons/schaefers etc but no d web or griffs or COA ;(
