I have blanche bett and commodity gold expressive and boy I prefer so much more the commodity gold than my blanche bett. I get a lot of compliments using my commodity. absolutely amazing! very milky smell, creamy, a little bit woody, sweet. just perfection. it's like nice big warm hug on a cold day. I wear it more now since it is fall here.

Demi, please don't take this as an insult as I've been watching you from the very beginning, but would it be possible to scatter some designer fragrances in these? I understand you've grown out of designer and less expensive fragrances, but most of the fragrances you currently mention are out of my price range, especially in today's economy. There’s other KZbinrs that review and love a wide variety of scents in different price ranges, @DeliciousDelights comes to mind. I like Demi’s picks a lot but I also like to watch perfume collectors who just love perfume without any pretension, they like what they like regardless of price or hype and I can respect that.

Also Soki London reviews designer fragrances. Since designer perfumes are easily accessible in most department stores, perfume shops, drugstores… I can go and smell them any time, unlike niche one.

Samples, girlie, samples!!!!! There are websites that decant samples and you can buy them for a more affordable price. Then you’ll know if you like the scent. I just ordered 8, 2-5ml, samples of different fragrances. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I finally noticed a trend in my personal journey: I tend to like comforting scents, which can be different for different noses. I ALMOST never think of sexy perfume in my wardrobe, but see myself go to my comfort and embracing parfums or oils.

I been leaning a lot towards comfort scents too especially because my anxiety in public was getting so bad and my depression. Aromatherapy has been doing the trick, perfume makes a good aromatherapy... The scents I like at the moment maison tahite cacao in the sun, by the fireplace , initio musk therapy, la nuit de l'homme (never used to like it), prada l'homme, jpg le parfum, rochas man, navitus siesta drive, xerjoff lira, nishane ani, navitus sartorial nuit, luna rossa black, valentino born in roma edt, xerjoff uden, killian black phantom, bois 1920 durocaffe, bond no 9 bleecker street, borntostandout dirty rice, mfk amyris homme, rochas moustache edp, mfk grand soir.

Same thing happened to me with Blanche bete but I know tons of people that love love love it! You have me very interested in the jusbox frag. I’ve been looking for a creamy mango! Weirdly, I had this experience with Gris Charnel! I was testing it out in September to buy as my new fall scent for 2023, and I was initially obsessed. Then on a particularly hot day (>90 F), it started to smell like spoiled milk on my skin. Maybe some fragrances are just meant for cooler weather...

To be honest, i just like creamy, poudery, sweet, floral and gourmand scents , well ans fresh scents for summer but not smoky, green, spicey, woody....scents. My favorite creamy scents are : rolling in Love, musk therapy, lince by terenzi, le vie di milano- aperitivo milanese porta nuova, milk musk EDT by milton brown and kayali musk 12, le musc & la peau. Have to try blanche bete and musc moschus. A video about poudery scents would be great, Demi🙏. I love for exemple black tie, violet ida, l heure bleue, l instant magic and my name by trussardi.

Bete Blanche is such a stunner!! I tested blanche Bête from the nose shop , it was so strong but really ladylike, I wanted to buy it but don’t have the occasion to wear it , it’s so special for my daily use and so strong, one spray is more than enough on my skin. Dont be sad, maybe its a good thing. Cos most of the niche fragrances are not really worth the money. Its just ridiculous what they want us to pay for smelly water. You buy a bottle you are happy for awhile and then you realize it was simply not worth it. This is just my experience- but just buy a sample and you ll see. Once in a blue moon there is something amazing, but I never understood how every fragrance can be great or fantastic for Demi. Really not getting it. My opinion only.

I think blanche bete is one of those that is so beautiful but it is not a every day one. Sometimes it is too much. I love to use with nuxe floral body oil. It makes it more flower. Beautiful

You do an amazing job at presenting these scents. It looks like many of these are still not available for testing in US stores. Getting a sample from online retailers is actually more expensive, and I've done price comparisons. So mostly all these are automatic no for me, as the cost of unknown plus shipping fees is unjustified.

Unfortunately Santal Complet doesn’t perform at all on me. It doesn’t last more than 30 minutes and I’m being generous, even with seventy spray, not kidding. And it’s not me, even my husband can just barely smell it. It works a little ONLY if I wear something synthetic, so that the perfume can grip to the texture, but it’s paradoxical to buy a luxury fragrance only to wear something cheap to actually smell said perfume. I really regret spending that amount of money on a perfume like this. Yeah, the smell is good, but it doesn’t justify that price. I even wrote to FDB, they told me “this is a delicate fragrance”. Definitely agree, it’s delicate like water.

Blanche Bete has a bit of a rancid smell in the background. I don’t know whether you noticed. For example like a coconut shell after scraping the flesh left in the sun too long. I think that’s the note you are taking about with nauseated situation. Plus it is a terrible scent to puddle spray in my experience. For those floral touches to pop out it needs to be misted.

Totally get what your saying. I’ve had to go on a buying sabbatical because I was soooo influenced all the time. Downsized back to 4 and my max will be five. Truelly wished all fragrances would come in either 10ml or 30ml. A lot of the times i just want to smell of the new fragrances and ones 30ml has been reached I’m over them 🤣

We can all be influenced to overspend because there is always something new, better, trendy etc. I have decided to find three or four fragrances that I love and then be happy to stop there. My budget doesn’t allow me to buy every fragrance that I love. I feel that I can use the money I would spend on fine fragrances to help someone in need. Our community was just devastated by a hurricane so, I enjoy the finer things in life but, I love my neighbors more. Wishing you all happiness and safety.

Blanche Bete is my favorite lactonic fragrance. I can’t understand how many KZbinrs see this as a “summer fragrance”. Just bc it smells like coconut doesn’t make it hot weather friendly. I got my first bottle Sept. of last year & I used this ish out of it during fall and winter. I bought her back out during summer - sprayed how I do - and I literally got sick! I had to put her down till recently. She’s still my favorite but she’s definitely not a hot weather fragrance. Milk and the Sun don’t go well together so it makes sense that laconic and heat doesn’t mix.
