That's a great summary of what happened. And so versatile. Elevator grinding to the bottom. Controlled slide down a wet hill, but couldn't stop or go back. Survived in a boat or barrel down a waterfall, and ended up onshore. Wind blew you off of something, or out of a tree. Tripped downstairs like a toon. Tumbled downhill like a drunk. "Accidentally gravitated towards the ground." That's it, no one has to know anything else. XD

Gotta love that environmental story telling piecing together what happened. especially when it came to the Aegis and Osmosis facility's. where the Aegis group was more serious on containing anomalies, while studying them, compared to the Osmosis where they did study anomalies but where ok interacting with some things more freely. Like the Mimics, Aegis was more serious on keeping count and tracking them, as for Osmosis where there like its Ok to drink out of the mimic cups as long you respect them.

In the SCP game D class was an scientist at the foundation but he got ranked down because he did ,saw or knew something about foundation itself that could potentially be dangerous for foundation existence and in one of the Endings got classified as anomaly. the one of the hallway ending was an anomaly that D class created and that let him to escape the SCP foundation there was also his memory where they took him to clear all his memories with amnestics before the events of containment breach. The main protagonist we play at containment breach could be an spy for another organisation and that's why he got ranked down to the D class personel.

(Side note, the seemingly weird "st" & "nd" & "rd" after 1st, 2nd, 3rd - before seemingly changing to "th" - is because those letters are an abbreviation of "firST" "secoND" "thiRD". Numbers after that usually change to TH at the end [fourTH, nineteenTH, etc.] except after 1 & 2 & 3, thus why those seemingly-random abbreviated number + ending sounds exist. This is a game that seems to harken back to early survival horror- you can't handle the entity itself alone, but you're stuck alone and praying things work out. I like that. I also think the simpler gameplay works well to this game's strengths- it kinda emulates that feeling of being... not a generic horror protagonist. You got training, but that's it- you have to handle things by the book. I'd like to see a potential third game add on some more ideas, such as maybe other methods to delay or handle certain entities. Perhaps some more tools at your disposal, but leaving the movement options about the same.

I also like how it doesn't feel like the game is "introducing mechanics"; at all times you are beholden to your orders, so when you gain the "laser from space" mechanic, it doesn't feel like you gained a new mode, or the gameplay changed: instead, it feels like you're just continuing to follow orders. In other words, it ties its mechanics to a story element that provides cohesion.

I just realized it now that the name of the area where Specter 8 encounter the class 5 UT right before he pressed the button that reroute the facility's power (thus causing a blackout in said area) is called Protocontainment Chamber AZ-5. AZ-5 is the russian name for the reactor emergency shutdown button on nuclear reactors, and also happens to be the button that was pressed right before the explosion on Chernobyl. I know it might just be a coincidence in naming, but the fact that Specter pressed a button and in said chamber before things went horribly wrong is a very neat touch.

In the first game, as things get really bad, he ends up saying, "I don't get paid enough for this shit," hinting at his personality. The fact that there's a sequel where he's still doing "this shit" suggests a certain level of pride. When he's survived the mission, albeit injured, he's probably more than a little pissed off, and the idea of leaning on someone's shoulder to get to the helicopter after everything he's been through probably would have struck a blow to his pride that would have been more than he could take. I think it was a little bit of humanity seeping in, when all the professionalism has finally gotten him through.

I love how the Aegis is the SCP Foundation, cold and that keeps the entities contained but that doesn't necessarily hate them, while the osmosis legion is both the C.I and TSH. I felt kinda bad seeing how much the osmosis seemed to care for the entities, as you can see from the poster they say to threat them well, feed them and if they annoy you, to ask to stop. They literally acted so loving about the entities and maybe it even worked for a while, but sadly not for much. Rest in peace osmosis legion, your effort at making people and entities live with each other in peace failed.

In the 10-103 universe, the Aegis and Osmosis are two different organization, the Aegis is more like the SCP foundation in terms of strictness about interacting with anomalies. Though Osmosis are more like the Serpent Hands, they somewhat freely interact with them. Scepter-8 is probably working for Aegis or another organization in charge of clearing those abandoned facilities.

I Love this setting, and the very serious, by the book communication. It really grounds things. The idea that our MC is trained, prepared, armed, and Still has great difficulty surviving is appealing to me, in horror. Heroes doing everything Right and still struggling is so much more satisfying than when idiots blunder to their deaths. I'm vaguely reminded of Resident Evil 1, with the STARS squad, except while they were Meant to be really good at their jobs they... Weren't. Splitting up, getting lost, helicopter pilot running away, no-one has any better preparation than a pistol, maybe a knife, with one lockpick between the entire team.

Like the improvements over the first game, made the experience more dynamic. The Aegis operatives' code use is inspired by Half Life 2's Combine and Metropolice codes. Things like: Necrotics, Innoculate, Hammer, Specter, famous lines like "Sector is not controlled." There's also some SCP inspired stuff, namely in the second game with Specimen 15 being similar in appearance to SCP-939. Also the Osmosis Legion being similar to the Chaos Insurgency, with Aegis being the Foundation.

This is such an outstanding little game, and it adds little details that the game would be perfectly fine without, but it's still put in. Like the dust being lit up by the red ligths or the lanky guy stopping bulletts with a force field and dropping them. And that's my favourite approach to art. I hope this guy has some bigger plans, because he's very talented

They don't even have a command structure or organization. The Jailors just have a hard time thinking like anybody else, so they assume everyone operates like they do.

Love this series, clear inspiration from scp but as the MTF basically, love the chaos insurgency (yes I know they dont have the same motives) vibes of Osmosis Legion where they want to free and mingle with the specimens while Aegis is more like the foundation

Some cool things I noticed: At 8:40 the cup near the sign warning about shapeshifting class Xi entities turns into 4 cups when you go back to it At 17:55 the text outside specimen 19 changes from: "Cingulate Cortex / Type: N/A / No clearance required / THE DRUGS THEY GIVE YOU MAKE YOU THINK MORE CLEARLY, RIGHT?" to "Haunted Pillow / Type: PSI / Level 3 clearance required / PSYCHOHAZARD / Do not entertain anxious thoughts near specimen" The "forbidden soda" at 18 25 is a reference to SCP 3108 "The Nerfing Gun". A gun that changes what it hits into a worse version of it, the following is the relevant test: Target: One can of Coca Cola. Result: One can of Pepsi Cola. Notes: Mike, the security officer observing the test, expressed dismay at seeing this result. We had him fire the dart at the Pepsi can and it changed right back into Coke.- Dr Dietz At 25:00 (and in subsequent attacks) the Class 5 UT catches the bullets in mid-air, which then fall to the ground. The soldiers at the end saluting, maybe that's normal, maybe he got that promotion? I really like the idea of having to report back on everything and think it has a lot of potential. Hope it gets noticed or Nerdspartan (dev) rolls with it.

@@Selrisitai The Nerfing Gun is a toy foam dart gun (like the Nerf brand of toys irl), and the joke is that the guy who turned the Coke into Pepsi considers Pepsi to be a worse version of Coke, but when the security guard shoots the Pepsi it turns back into Coke cause they think Coke is worse.

@@Selrisitai ​ This game is in part inspired by the SCP universe, a collaborative writing project based on "The Foundation" collecting and cataloging various anomalous entities and objects, the object that inspired the "Forbidden Soda" in the game is the object known as SCP-3108, aka "The Nerfing Gun". There's an old debate on which one is better, Pepsi or Coke, and The Nerfing Gun "nerfs" whatever it hits, turning it into a worse version of itself. In the story, the scientist obviously thinks Pepsi is worse than Coke, so the Coke turns into Pepsi when they shoot it with the anomalous nerf gun, but the guard thinks _Coke_ is worse than Pepsi, so when the guard uses it, the drink turns from a Pepsi back into a Coke. I don't think yt will let me link to the story so if you look up *"SCP 3108"* you can read it for yourself.

Fun fact. In military operations, saying something three times means it's dire or an emergency. See 5:30 for an example. Of course just saying it three times makes it scary because of emphasis, but tacking on the military significance adds extra danger.
