The look Liz had on her face when she told Sam don't turn around then cause Franco was standing behind her made me sick to my stomach because it felt like she enjoyed Sam's reactions to Franco.

RealJaSamKindaLove I completely agree - I thought the same thing. It was almost as if she was enjoying watching Sam being anxious around the man who terrorised her for months. Considering Liz is a rape victim herself I thought she would be more understanding😡

Yes. And now we're supposed to do the "poor Liz' thing now that Tom is free. Don't get me wrong, I am talking about the character when I say, it will be a cold day in hell when I sympathize with her. But we know that Sam will have sympathy and be worried about her. However, I can see Liz saying that as Franco didn't really rape Sam it isn't the same.

No Franco did not actually touch Sam in this scene but given that up until this scene in front of Jake and Liz (which makes one question the sincereity of his attempt at an apology) he has never shown any sign of remorse, consideration, or even respect for Sam and Jason, I'd say she reacted the way any VICTIM would react when faced with the man who TERRORIZED AND ASSUALTED her. It's common knowledge that he has done some pretty questionable things since his tumor was removed. She and Jason have very good reason to be suspicious of his motives and this relationship with Liz and Jake only adds to that because tumor or not Franco is still dangerous under the right (or rather wrong) circumstances and is now cozying up to the child and former lover of the man he was so morbidly obsessed with. I adore Roger as an actor but the writers are doing him no favors with this story. He is playing a former serial killer with no conscience who has done nothing to earn redemption and is now pursuing an actual rape victim whose child he once kidnapped. Very little (I won't say it's impossible because Luke raped Laura and they somehow became "the greatest love story ever told" but it's highly unlikely) if anything can be done to salvage this character. Yes, it's a soap and all characters do horrible things at some point but between the usual soap crimes and the laundry list of unforgivable sins the original carnation of the character committed on top of the disservice of white washing makes it nearly impossible. It does nothing for Rebecca Herbst either (let me be perfectly clear I am not a fan of the character but I have great respect and admiration for the woman who plays her) While her list is not quite as violent as her current significant other's it is her manipulative nature, the consistency of her offenses and complete lack of remorse that condemns her. Fans want to see a change in this behavior. Her getting involved with the man who Jason hates the most in this entire world after he dumps her for hiding his identity from him does not scream love for Friz. It screams spite for Jasam. Her forcing Jason and Sam to coexist with him knowing what he has done to both them wreaks of her usual M.O. The audience is not stupid or blind. The ONLY way for them to continue this supposed love story between Franco and Elizabeth is to separate them from Jasam as much as humanly possible, which would benefit all parties concerned. Jason and Sam have enough on their plate between the new baby, alexis's drinking and Carsons coping with the loss of their son. Friz have more than enough internal conflict potential which would give both actors a chance to shine and give their pairing a substantial foundation. No one wants to see Friz being "bullied" by Jasam or the true victims (JASAM) being villainized!

Yes, very well said. I agree with you but one other thing has amazed me about the Friz story line. Particularly considering the kidnapping you mention above. The Liz character claimed to have so much animosity for Sam because Sam watched as someone kidnapped her child. Yet she is now with a man who actually kidnapped her child and several other adults. Hopefully next time Lizzard tries to bring up Sam's transgression in regards to the kidnapping someone will give her a nice/nasty reminder of who she is with perhaps Carly in the mist of her grief.

I genuinely believe there is something wrong with Elizabeth Webber. Maybe it was the abandonment by her parents or the rape, or losing her first love in such a traumatic way (probably a mixture of the three) but that was the very last time we saw a likable Liz with no hidden agenda. It's not normal to be so desperate for a man that you will fake a mental breakdown which you know to be an emotional trigger for him or fake DNA results and hide him from his family nor is it normal to have an actual mental break from reality just because you lose one. There is something very pathological in her pattern of behavior, even sociopathic at times.

I agree this character behavior or perhaps more poignant the writers characterization of Liz is one of very little depth. Why else would you have a character repeat the same pattern unless they lack in the ability to be innovated creative writers. Rebecca is such a great actress I don't get why multiple writers characterize Liz the same way. I wonder if Rebecca ever said or mention ... "okay this should be easy since I've done this a few times over the years." But on the other hand the writers maybe giving the Liz fans what they want by not allowing the Liz character to have much depth. I've only read about 5 or 10 log on Liz youtube videos . I don't see much complaining about the SL just about JaSam.

now I love friz but he made her think he raped her, he may not of actually did it but for two years she believed he did and jasam were torn apart because of IT. Franco was sick and I like him and friz but I will not excuse what he did to Sam, whether he actually did it or NOT.

I mean I understand that anything is better than her lurking around Jason salivating like a hungry dog, but tumor or no tumor Franco is a psychotic, creepy, self-serving bastard. I don't care if he was cured directly by Jesus... I just can't deal. The man kidnapped Liz's baby, terrorized Jason and Sam, actually got Michael raped, and made it seem like he raped Sam which she suffered from for months especially when she got pregnant. Maybe I hold grudges, but Liz needs a psyche eval because she's looney.
