Great job, love this drill. I’m 51, can’t wait to try this one. Thanks

Grey Wolf67 Saturday, I’m on this one. Real world and not requiring a bunch of “cool” stuff to run it. I’d rather spend money on ammo and training. The rubber dummy would be great but priorities!

Good commentary and i would never disagree with someone who has been in the trenches. I do feel that since the beginning of time most of this stuff has been going on. The difference now is the internet and how fast information moves. The other thing to consider is when i was growing up (1950's and 60's) the news was delivered by 3 networks and a local newspaper...and that was it. Now the entire population are reporters and editors and commentators over the internet. But it sure seems like the world is more up side down. I try to stay positive and make the world better and safer and happier each day...without living with my head buried in the sand. I highly respect the videos you make and all the useful helpful tips. It is greatly appreciated. Good Job!!

Real nice shooting Dave for a man of our maturity.

Dave, I really love your explanations. I guess this can be done at any distance from target as soon as you get comfortable at any given distance.

I picked 20 feet instead of a longer distance to keep it pistol combat relevant, but sure, it could be done at any distance...

Great drill I'm going to have to try this one!

I really like that you are showing drills at 20 ft. This is where I train b/c this is how I would defend myself if the need should ever arise (God forbid). The ranges that I have been to are all too far back from the target from what I would consider "real world" situations when defending oneself with a handgun. Then, iIhave to wait for everyone to stop shooting, shoot only a few rounds and then wait some more. Thankfully, I live in the country and have a few places that I can go to for practice, where I can shoot at any distance I choose.

Dave good drill....all training drills are great drills especially like this! We should get together in the spring and mix it up with some Target Trackers! RIP Brothers at the NYPD!

My condolences to NYPD as well. Great drill, especially for winter trips to the range when building up some body heat is a good thing.

In your experience, what's a good drill or mindset for decreasing the inevitably of panic firing?
@Harbisondude10 жыл бұрын
God bless, excellent opening. Let's roll!

So how do you prevent an assassination-type of killing as you describe?
@handguncombatives5 жыл бұрын
It's difficult to always be "turned on" but it comes down to situational awareness. Almost impossible to always be scanning for threats, especially if you're in your car eating.

Yeah, I’m in that 60-62 age, so I’m sure I’d be huff’n and a puff’n at the end too! This would be a good drill to do with my Sig P365, one handed. What you think?

Active Combat might be a little different... "Panic Firing" or "beat feet and wang on that trigger"... Directional fire stops ya from getting lead or stitched up by a settled bad guy

Great comments and insights. Violence 'is' already here in America and, it would appear, the authorities are covering up the causes and associations! Good drills... gotta move (preferably to 'cover' ;^) where you machine gun is! Be safe all.
