There was no updated Urgent List provided by Apple Valley staff between 2:30 and 3:30 yesterday as their policy promises, but there was another massive list of dogs dropped from their website this morning, including Flynn, who was invisible to the public from Saturday morning when they unlisted him to take him to the pet fair to Monday afternoon when they relisted him, and now he is pending euthanasia along with 26 other dogs.
There are 12 new dogs pending euthanasia today in addition to the 15 pending yesterday.
We do not have an outcome for yesterday's dogs. We know there were several adoptions and rescues, but that won't keep them from killing, so their capacity stays at 65-70% for whatever reason. I guess they just like killing for space, especially since they had pop-up large kennels at the adoption event but can't use them at the shelter...
It doesn't make sense.
27 dogs are about to lose their lives when Apple Valley shelter was open 8 days total the last 15 days. That's a week animals weren't seen or available.
Please foster or adopt! We need help for all of these dogs. All of their lives are important. And all will be ripped away if we can manage miracles. Fight all you can.
