Realistically the knights would likely slaughter the Spartans. Rome would put up a much better fight but would likely still lose, the tech gap is just too great although the Romans were so ahead of the curve that it is possible, although unlikely for Rome to beat medieval knights, let alone heavy infantry. I of course speak of the middle ages and the ladder part of the medieval time period as the early days of the medieval era pick up right when the Romans checked out.

Full plate armor like the stuff the knights are wearing wasn't invented until the late middle ages, so there is indeed quite a tech gap.

if your going to have huge battles please add multiple dynamics such as multiple teams or multiple types of units on each team becuase watching the same units fighting for 20 mins is a bit boring when you could watch a shorter vid of the same battle but done with less units but the same outcome. ps do love the vids and please do more

The reason the knights pushed in further than the spartans even though the kills were equal is because of the attack range, the spartans with their spears can attack pretty far in front of them i think in a spartan wall they can have 2 or 3 rows of spartans all attacking, that plus their really high damage is oart of the reason they're so op besides their high stats since everytime someone runs in to fight them they take like 5 attacks while only being able to dish out 1 attack but when a spartan dies the line doesn't need to move forward they can just wait for the enemy to keep walking into their spears

The heavy knights need to be closer to get hits off so they climb the mound of bodies more. It makes it so they get headshots on the Spartans more often.

What a great battle...what an even greater battle if you'd settle down on a specific front, and let us watch. Constant spinning around the map with multiples angles every 5 seconds does little to let the viewer enjoy what you've created. It sort of reminds me of The Blair Witch Project - nobody was scared of the story...it was the headaches people got from getting dizzy watching the camera angles spin around.

3:30. Isn't the reason that heavy knights won that they had more numbers to start with? If you look at the number of troops remaining, it looks like the heavy knights started with like over 100k more soldiers which are more or less what they had remaining at the end of the battle.

Add your voice over timelaps. There is software who can extract one image every minute or something like this. You can make massive timelaps with that without using a lot of storage

Time lapses are rarely interesting. Would be nice to see part of the actual battle without you flying around so much The centers are rarely interesting the ends are where things happen unless you have a breakthrough.

Idea: Finish the battle, but put the remaining Spartans on top of the mountain (tactical withdrawal) and have the remaining knights assault the mountaintop. Have the Spartans hold their ground while the knights, starting all the way at the bottom, charge up the mountain.

Number 1 rule before doing a army v army is to never freeze soldiers. It gives them a disadvantage as they can't maneuver or attack more easily

People saying the heavy knights won because of extra starting units If you'll notice, they had 200K more kills than the spartans. So whilst the extra starting units did probably play a role, they still outdid the spartans by a fairly significant margin.

Two theories it could be one side have more strength to push them backwards for a new position or parts of the battle on each side one side is dominating than the other so they reinforce

They'd be signifactly worse if they were historically accurate. These spartans are the spartans from the movie 300, who are actively obscene. The heavy knights beating them is because they are crusaders, and thus also have the power of memery and plot armour on their side.

This just came to mind seeing the number of soldiers and the map. Since they have seemed to have fixed the tracking issues on this map, what if you were to put some op units on the top of the mountain and sent 10 million enemies up the mountain could the 10 million bodies create a pile high enough to build ramps up to the top of the mountain

What I'm suggesting is 10 million zombies around the base, so they don't get stuck on the cliff faces, vs full auto archers with chunk norris health at the two entrances to the mountaintop to see how the body piles form and if it's possible to cover the mountain in bodies not to see who would win. He did a castle seige recently where he almost covered the entire castle with bodies and when I saw this map it got me thinking what would happen here.
