8 more links have come down! Rita was unlisted yesterday, and then later in the evening, so was Sybil, her kennelmate. These dogs are not the "next in line", by which we mean Apple Valley usually goes for the longest residents. There are dogs who have been there a little longer. Gale, Sidney, and Oogie-Boogie haven't had any interest, so they're links dropping make us worried enough to put them on this list. Freddy, Pumpkin, and Bat are all puppies. Because Freddy was leftover and because Pumpkin and Bat haven't had interest, they are on our list.
We are guessing here. The shelter still hasn't responded about the dogs from yesterday in our emails. Our only means of getting status quickly is calling the shelter where we are allowed to ask about 1-3 dogs depending on who answers the phone... And sometimes we're only allowed to call once. We are doing our best, but we all know that the shelter has the simple power to tell us who is in danger. We feel like the dogs deserve that. We wish the shelter felt the same way.
