This is so wonderful, I can cry about Mina's life. What a lovely couple, she and her husband were ! Is Mina still alive, and her husband ?! What a bittersweet story, it moved me to tears !!! From Holland with love 😥✡😭💔🙋🏼♀️💞🙏

Thanks you for your kind words. My parents had a wonderful life together. She always looked forward, never back and my father was her saviour. It was he who, in her words, gave her a "second life". Unfortunately Moe passed away in 1981. My mother lived to be a 100 and passed away just 2 years ago. Until she was in her mid 90s, she continued to be active, constantly taking courses, exercising and living an independent life.

It appears that Leo Srole was an American Sociologist, not an MD born in 1908. There is wiki listing for him - there is no mention of him working in DP camps (that's the only Srole I can find) . Tim Fidler NzL

Yes, Leo was a sociologist. Because he had a Phd. he was referred to as "Doctor" Srole. But he did indeed work at the camp and was the social work director. My parents became good friends with Leo and his wife and remained in contact for decades.

@@F_Tim1961 Hi Tim, A question: my mother's videos have been available online for a number of years, but in the last month, the number of views has been very high - thousands. If you don't mind me asking, how did you locate the youtube stories?

@Carl Aspler - FYI - canadian/US court case now running - look down to the old reply below " I am using this reply to modify..." you may or may not find this interesting- in a way it is about the power of the internet to make difference - cheers Tim F
