Erie canal trail (especially in Fairport) is really impressive!! Rochesterians are proud of The Public Market: Many many activities in the PM too, Sunday garage sale day April-Oct is a great easily accessible flea market more than just Junk.

The Susan B. Anthony House is not in Highland Park. No mention of the Lilac Festival in Highland Park seems to be an omission, along with not mentioning it was designed by Frederic Law Olmstead. The Memorial Art Gallery does not have free admission. No mention of historic Seabreeze Park or Parkside Whispering Pines Miniature Golf is a shame.

ehhhh.. MAG used to be free addmission on Thurs. 6-9pm awhile ago. Whispering pines is a must along with ghost tours of the Reunion and sea breeze.

The Casa Larga suggestion is a little weird. Yes the winery is in Fairport but you said the vineyard overlooks seneca lake which is an hour outside of Rochester. It’s 2 different sites but you made it sound as if they could see the lake from the winery

The video says that Admission to the Memorial Art Gallery is free for all visitors, and this is definitely not true. I don't ever remember admission being free.

Casa Largo is a long way from Rochester. It is in the town of Perinton, I think.

Nice video, but Museum of Play deserves a much higher rating. And the placement of each attraction in the same place on the map is misleading (e.g., Casa Larga is well south of the city)

is it that bad? I'm concerned bec I have to be there for an event at Eastman Theatre. I want to walk around and see the city but if it's that bad then I've no choice but to stay inside my hotel 😰

It is what you make of it. I moved to Rochester 4 years ago and I love it. But I also volunteer doing community cleanups, at the homeless shelter and pet shelters. So if people actually put effort into improving their community you can see changes. But complaining about it and doing nothing does nothing to help the city.

@@scarlett5804 better do your next cleanup over in the Northeast or Northwest quadrant, they definitely need it. I've lived here for almost 3 decades and it is definitely getting worse these last 3-4 years. Car theft is up 350%, murder rates are back to 1990s levels and the police force is basically non-existent.

@@dionysus4778 during the day isn't too bad, just dirt bikes and 4 wheelers zooming around in the streets for the most part but I would advise not walking around at night alone. Downtown is significantly nicer than the neighborhoods to the North of it. Walk South if you want to see the nicer areas. The south wedge is alright

Where is this shit hole, all lakes, streams and this barge canal look rancid? Is there snow skiing or snowboarding in the area, anywhere safe to swim away from all the algae infested waterways, mountain climbing? Hiking? Rock climbing, I am told That grape farm is 50 miles away from Seneca Lake, not right next to it.
