This year I had a major eye-opening "Duh!"-moment regarding watches. Instead of buying tons of (expensive) watches to go with different outfits, just buy replacement wristbands in different colours and materials. It's super easy and cheap but makes a huge difference. I have no clue why I didn't think about this earlier and why so few people talk about it.
@onedapperstreet2 жыл бұрын
that's very much the move, many of the mid-tier watches will actually come with an alternate strap right off the bat now!

Where do I even begin. Firstly, as a fellow menswear KZbinr, just, bravo on this extensive and VERY well put together video. I can imagine just how many hours it took to create this-from prep, to shoot, to editing. Now, I think this is a fantastic update to accessories and trends. Really should give folks an idea of where they stand with accessories and where they’d like to take them. Finally, massive thanks for calling out that we should wear what we want and not care about what others think. I personally love to utilize earrings as an accessory and I currently have a pair of amber, citrine stud earrings in transit to be delivered, because I wanted another option to wear with my gold jewelry. I’ve been in my head since noticing them and purchasing them, on whether or not they will look feminine to others. Even as someone who is constantly looking for ways to switch things up, and as someone who’s used to wearing something that others may not agree with, I still tend to revert back to old ways from time to time. But, as you said and as I tell others-I don’t care what y’all think. So I bought them anyway and can’t wait to style them. So massive, massive thanks for making this video, sir!

Love the Dior bag and the pearl necklaces. Not everyone can get away wearing pearls especially when you're built like a football player but we ain't dressing up for other's approval. The rest of the items are beautiful and relatable. Tote bags for men are everywhere this summer and they look so functional for your everyday stuff. There are nice ones from FjallRaven Kanken, Herschel and Kipling. Guys look good on them.

Hey Marcel, thank you for talking about wearing what you like. I've been experimenting with some more feminine accessories as well and I've come to the same conclusion. If you like it, wear it.

I feel like this was one of your better videos in a while man. I also totaly agree with The point to not care to much about what others think. I tend to wear a Grey small bag from peak design becouse i hate how it looks when my pockets are full with stuf and its also uncomfortable. Some say it looks like a purse but i really dont care. I also wear my nordic triwa Daily and been thinking about getting a necklace for quite some time now.

Love the passion and effort you so clearly put into this video. Don't mind that it's longer at all. Out of all the mens fashion youtubers I follow, you are one of the one's that I've always stuck with. I think that's because some of the other guys out there just make videos on the same topic like 10 times over the years with almost the same info (not to throw shades on them but it's true). Yours have always been way more genuine and insightful and I think I speak for all your viewers that we really appreciate that!!

9:03 - 9:53 strong words that i agree 100%. others may not like or think whatever they want about what you are wearing but if you feel confident in it just go for it. your opinion is valuable than others, and that's a lesson not just for fashion. p.s: that is indeed a dope piece of necklace

Thanks for mentioning the pearl necklace. I'm wearing a single Tahiti pearl as a pendant. It's my lucky charm. It's very minimalistic without much gold and no bling, but still sometimes I get comments. Some say "oh cool a black pearl, good it's not a white pearl, that would be too feminine". Or I get comments like "Why do you wear a pearl? That's for women." It's sad to me that diamonds are generally more accepted for a guy, because it's also regarded as a status symbol.

For me I prefer sticking to masculine accessories. That doesn’t mean an oversized watch. Diamonds are not my cup of tea . For me a nice watch and chain long enough so you just see the back and sides. I agree one should go with what they like. I’ve seen others look good with stuff I wouldn’t wear.

I just can't get proper sunglasses/eyeglasses. Cannot find a proper shape. Don't know if it's my face shape or what.
@makerl1fe3882 жыл бұрын
Yeah, i’ve had the same problem finding my face shape. Here’s something that helped me. First, forget about circle, square, oval, diamond snd heart. Impossible to figure it out by yourself because you’d have done it by now. What you can do is just look on your angles. Before anything you need to measure your eye to eye width in mm, no matter what shape you buy if they’re tight they will look bad. Take a measuring tape, set one outside your eye where the glasses start to go towards your ear and the other end in the opposite side. That’s your width and you should find frames on that size. You can see online by takes the medium number, multiply x2 and add the smaller number. You have a jawline? Then your characteristics are more angled than round, in order to contrast it you should stay away from square lenses, look into rounder options. If the jawline is non-existent then it’s the opposite, stay away from rounder option and look into more squared ones. If you’re not one-sided and maybe have a jawline but not that sharp and your cheekbones are really sharp or the other way around in which some angles are round and others are sharp then it mostly doesn’t matter what shape the frames have. Either of them will contrast something and look great. Hope i helped you.
@marinko18622 жыл бұрын
@@makerl1fe388 Thanks brother for helping. I will try to measure myself. Yes,as you said,finding a face shape is impossible. I can see myself having oval and also square... I have a jawline but speedmaster sunglasses fit me better than some round shapes. I bought eyeglasses that are mix of round and square and I think they look good but are too big🤦♂️. And the problem is that I already bought expensive lenses with my prescription.
@makerl1fe3882 жыл бұрын
@@marinko1862 if you have a visible jawline and some rounder features then most shapes should fit you. I thought to myself that no glasses fit me, all that until i found my lense size and overall width. Since then all glasses fit me regardless of shape, though rounder ones fit me better but so do squares. Just wear it and ask some of your girl friends what they think.

Love your stuff and hate to be the watch snob here but please, for the love of God, do not recommend a Ted Baker (or any other fashion) watch. Your Piaget (though not my style) is worth every damn penny. You waste more money by paying $100 for a fashion watch that's truly only worth $2. If someone has only a 100 bucks to spend on a watch, go for something that's worth it at it's own price point. Plenty of offerings from Seiko or Orient that fit the bill.
