That Fast and Furious one is the dumbest contract ever. It means there’s no stakes in the story and we can expect nothing interesting from a fight in these movies
@thomasrider8221
@thomasrider8221 4 жыл бұрын
Perhaps that's why it works. While each actor doesn't want to lose his character's macho status, it ensures that no satisfactory outcome can result from violence. It also ensures plenty of sequels. Imagine what the franchise could do if they had an I.Q. clause, where no Alpha male could be smarter than the other.

Thomas Rider there’s no substance. People like John Wick because he gets properly hurt sometimes. Where’s the fun going into a one of these movies knowing “yea he won’t lose this fight”. That’s a bit boring

You could say the same about Marvel. Especially when they fight each other there's really no stakes ever. Even Don Cheadle's character was hurt badly paralyzed I thought but with the help of looks like high tech leg braces can walk fine

I don't understand how removing the Main Cast for a Remake based on a Cult Classic, really matters to people, especially when it's not even a Remake of the Remake prior. Like I don't understand how people were up in arms about The Mummy being remade, even though they weren't necessarily remaking that specific version (The Brendan Fraser films) but the Original Cult Classic. They made it very clear it was a different thing entirely from the Brendan Fraser films (which I still enjoy to this day). Honestly, while I agree that that's how general audiences see it, it's incredibly dumb how we sometimes choose to be ignorant about certain films.

i seen another video about this very topic, and apparently Disney honestly hated how Depp portrayed the role, like with his gestures and hand movements. some things i remember the video saying that some were evening asking is he supposed to act gay. i dont think he was trying to be gay but trying to act half drunk most of the time which is appropriate considering all the rum he drank. and honestly i think he played the role to perfection, and in my honest opinion why the movies done so well and why kids and adults loved the character.

@@mjagger916 In the grand scheme of things, an actor is just that. I personally believe they are overpaid to play at what most do for real and are underpaid. However, when there is a $200,000,000 budget at stake riding on your shoulders, your reputation, and future career, you are obligated to give your investors the best representation for their money and for them to see a return. The Director of photography Shane Hurlbut made the mistake of walking into Bale's eyeline. He did not walk in the peripherals, or remain stationary while the entire primary filming unit was operation, but walked through the eyeline of the central actor to look at a lighting fixture. Any Director of Photography knows that this is an egregious error, and he knew better to jeopardize throwing an actors performance on a film in which hundreds of thousands of dollars are pouring out of the doors every day. A lighting fixture isn't something which couldn't wait until the scene was cut. Did he warrant a blasting? Absolutely. Did he deserve the level of grilling? Best to ask the crew working 16 hour days who either hold a boom microphone pole over their head, or a camera operator wearing 35 pound Steadicam rig.

That's why Marvel is hesitant on making standalone Hulk movies because the previous 2 were dumpster fires, but with Mark Ruffalo the best Hulk , I think they are finally gonna make them a trilogy I believe

How ironic, disney thought Johnny Depp's portrayal of Jack Sparrow was stupid and 'too gay'. Fast forward years after this and Jack Sparrow is now the centrepiece of the whole franchise. The most overrated story-tellers of our generation indeed.

well he was till Amber Turd besmirched his name with all the lies, and pretty much all of Hollywood has cancelled him including Disney. From what i heard they are making a POTC with Margot Robbie and the person Disney hired to direct it is the same person that directed the flop Birds of Prey, Cathy Yan. Disney is nuts. Dont get me wrong i like Margot Robbie, but she isnt Jack Sparrow, and im hoping when and if, and he should beat the Tabloids in court he will get his roles back.

Right? I hate how WhatCulture does this so often. They name a list something like this, but then most of the entries on the list aren't even appropriate for the list as named.

Norton is leagues better than any Hulk actor. His version of Hulk is the best by far. If you are a craftsman, you deserve full creative control.

Terminator Genisys introduced the concept of the multiverse into a series that rightfully ended after T2. That alone makes it a great movie.

I mentioned in a nother comment thread on this video they should have continued where this film left off. Wasn't that ball/core still intact way underground that they thought they destroyed at the end of the movie. Perfect cliffhanger for a follow up and hopefully better movie than that Dark Fate shit

I'm surprised you didn't mention Brent Spiner's meddling in Star Trek: Nemesis. He took a movie that was supposed to be about Picard and made it about him (i.e. Data AND B4). It completely ruined the film.

Apparently the new Dolittle film had the same issue, since Iron Man 1 did so well off the back of RDJ's improvisation and creative input, Universal trusted him when he tried to do the same with Dolittle, only this time it ended up the films undoing

this is what pissed me off about the christian bale terminator tirade. he had no right to rampage at the crew member. theyre both merely employees of the film studio. thats no different than 2 equally ranked shop workers yelling at each other. if you have a problem you get a manager which in his case would be a producer or someone higher. bale wasted just as much, if not more, time by stopping production instead of doing his own work.
